hadriel | Video 3 - Margaery's Apartment

[The video opens not in the Sewing Shop but in Margaery's apartment where she's sitting in the middle of her bed, a pillow clasped in her arms. she's looking down from the camera and she's in a bathrobe and nightgown, both wrinkled. her hair is disheveled and her eyes are heavily rimmed with red, as though she's spent a long time crying. which she has been. a whole day and night and a new day of crying.

she tries to look up at the camera, clear her throat and speak, but the words don't come. fresh tears well in her eyes and she looks down again, biting her lower lip.

a long moment passes with nothing but Margaery fighting back tears and silent. finally, she looks back up at the camera and speaks]

I--I thought people may want to know that Matt Murdock is no longer among us. His. His help was invaluable in the time before the Null invasion and [her voice breaks] he will be missed greatly.

[she brushes a tear off of her cheek, looking down again. she forces herself to look back up and continues]

I need to apologize to those I promised garments to. I. It will be at least another month before they're finished. I'm--I'm sorry.

Sorrow? [ Her brows raise at that. ] He lives, Lady Margaery. They were able to revive him some time ago, or so I'm told.

[ She keeps tabs on the gods to some extent, at least. ]

If you wanted to speak with him, I imagine you could do so. Though earning a way into another world will be less easy.

So they were able to revive him after the Null killed him? I may have to pay him a visit.

[Margaery needs to visit Tranquility as well to try and get a deal for fabric for the Sewing Shop]

I wasn't imagining it would be. I will likely have to engage in some rather humiliating begging, but it will be worth it if I get what I want.

The Null-...? [ Oh. No, she hadn't realized. Dany shakes her head, brow furrowing. ] ... I thought you were talking about his original revival. I didn't realize he had been killed - again.

[ welp ]

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to give you false hope.

Yes. Thanks to Delight's betrayal, the Null were able to kill Sorrow. Though I have no doubt that the remaining so-called gods will find a way to revive him again.

[and once they do, guess who is going to be asking him about ways to go to other worlds?]

It is not false hope. It is merely delayed hope.

We can hope. [ Sorrow had been responsible for the orchard, she knows, so him being gone means less food. ]

That may be all that we have, sometimes.

[the look in her eyes goes far away for a moment before she forces herself back to the present reality]

Yes. Hope. Hope that Sorrow is revived. Hope that when he is, he can send me far away from here where I can find Matt again. Hope that when I find him, we can have what we had again.

It may not come to be, but you should entertain it. There is no certainty that it is impossible.

[ Dany has overcome a great many impossibilities in her own life, and so she's confident in this. ]

It will come to be. I have to have faith that it will happen.

[and Marg is nothing if not determined to get her way]
