Many of you seem to be unhappy.

We don't all necessarily want you to be happy, but acceptance and adaptation to your situation would be a start. The only question that remains is: how?

It is clear to us that your species resolves many issues through communication. Unfortunately, none of us understand the human psyche as clearly as others of your species, and so I leave it to you to communicate with and to help one another.

You may consider this post an open forum in which you can discuss what's been bothering you. In turn, I will conceal your identities, so that you may help one another without preconceived biases. If you'd like to reveal yourselves to one another, the option is there, but unnecessary.

Heal. Recover.

That is what I desire most. It is frustrating to keep it a secret.

Could they really provide it? It is not the same as food.

Then why do you need it?

To drink. It is my sustenance.

Yes. But I am no longer human. Would they know I am something that preys on the lives of humans and punish me? These are the things I wonder.

["No longer." So they...were? As if that ain't enough, those next few words don't exactly endear him to the anonymous speaker any.]

So you kill people.

Yes. But do not worry. No one has died since I have been here. No one is suitable.

[ Well, technically Sato died. But he doesn't really consider that noteworthy. ]

Yeah, and I have every reason to trust you.

Why would I have reason to lie? I am anonymous.

People die here a lot. Hard to keep track of who's offing who. No way to know if you've been getting away with it.

Does it matter? The false gods bring back anyone who dies here. There is no death.

I don't know how it is where you come from, but most people I know don't appreciate dying as a recreational activity. It's generally painful.

Of course I know that. I have died once in order to become undead.

[Guess they really do exist. He gets that a lot, but lots of people seem to confuse "skeleton" for "literal undead thing."]

So what's that make you now?

A vampire.

[His suspension of disbelief thankfully covers that pretty quick. He knows apparent immortals, he texts gods, he's a walking skeleton - he can deal with it.]

So you drink people's blood, and everyone's just okay with that?

I find that hard to believe.
