[Anakin is nursing a burned leg - thanks, fire - looking like his usual peppy, happy self.]

Eclipse, leave it alone. [He shows a curious cat sniffing said leg and coaxes it into his lap. Another cat, one that is smaller, with a face that is almost too adorable for words follows in Eclipse's dainty footsteps, laying over Anakin's leg. There. That's better, right?]

Thank you, Ravager. [No, really. This is the terrifying Darth Vader. With a pair of sweet cats.]

I swear this is the last I do for you, Hadriel. Unless there is a burning building filled with cats, you are on your own.

[Cats > People. Obviously.]

Hux? Are you alive? [That's a nice way of checking on someone, right?] Maedhros? Fingon? What about you?

I'm fine, I was just upstairs.

[He had been straightening things up upstairs with Executor 'helping' out. He didn't bother to answer over the communitor but instead caught the rogue cat up in his arms to head downstairs.

He frowned when he saw Anakin's leg, pausing to set down a squirming cat who had caught sight of his partners in crime and wanted to play.]

You need to get that bandaged or it's going to get infected.

[He tips his head back from his spot on the sofa, grinning as the cats scrambled to greet one another. You'd think they had been separated for weeks!]

I have ointment for it. [Maybe the open air is...okay? No? He's sure he can - and will - heal if by sheer willpower alone.]

Hey, Executor. Were you helping the General?

At least wrap it in something. I'm not a medic droid but I'm sure it will help the effectiveness of the ointment.

[Really, Anakin, how did you survive this long?! He went to find bandages, glad that he had the foresight to get basic medical stuff for the house, just in case.]

He was being very helpful, especially when he sat in the middle of the bed while I was trying to make it. [But he can never be annoyed by the cats, no matter what kind of trouble they got into.]

Here, these are clean. It should help. [He handed the bandages over to Anakin before taking a seat opposite of him, watching the cats.]

...fine. [He shrugs and flips through the book he had been perusing earlier. Reading isn't his favorite activity - far too boring - but he knows enough about injuries that he needs downtime.]

That's why I like cats. [They are almost as infuriating as him! And oh so opinionated. Except for Ravager. That cat is all sweet. To him, at least.]

Thanks. [Taking the bandages, he wraps his leg with an expert hand. He has had experience, believe it or not!]

What have you been up to? The house is too quiet.

It has been really quiet lately, that's true. I've been mostly working on projects, weapons but the parts are limited and without any kind of power source, it's mostly just busy work.

[It at least keeps him occupied, making things. He smiled as Ravager hopped up onto his lap, rubbing between the cat's ears. He was rather fond of the cat, thus giving it the name of the first star destroyer he had been on.]

I've just been cleaning up around the house and organizing things the last few days.

If you ever need a second opinion... [He likes Hux and he is comfortable with their living arrangement. He's not sure if either of them can call the other friend, but that doesn't matter.] I'd love to start firing at the gods. The weapons we're used to could really do some damage.

[Tying off the bandage, he sits back.] You've got a knack for organization. I guess that comes from your training.

I wonder if I ever get better at it? [He snorts.] Then again, I've never had many belongings to begin with.

Of course, I would be glad to have your opinion. [He knew Anakin had a talent with working on things like that, it was always good to have someone else's expertise.]

It takes practice until it becomes an automatic habit. I never really had personal belongings, keeping star destroyers organized is a full-time occupation as it is.

[And he missed it. It kept him on his feet all day most days but he loved what he did.]

There is always a use for spare parts. I like improving on machines and making droids, though that would take awhile. [He misses R2-D2 and C3PO. They were odd droids, but good friends.]

How large is a star destroyer? Can it be flown by one pilot?

My star destroyer is a Resurgent-class and quite a bit larger than a standard Imperial destroyer.

Our full crew is 74,000 but if you just want to fly it, you at least need 5 or 6 people. That's just to fly it, full operation is quite a bit more. The technology is more advanced and refined than what the Empie was capable of so it takes more attention to operate and maintain.

[He's proud of his ships, it showed in his voice.]

The super star destroyers are much larger, Executor and Eclipse were massive.

[Well now. Anakin smiles at the passion in Hux's voice, crossing his arms over his chest.]

Seventy-four thousand. That's quite a crew! [He can't help but wonder all the good he could have done leading that many Jedi.] Unlike their cat namesakes, hm?

[Executor and Eclipse are more dominant than Ravager, but they still fit in a person's lap.]

I would like to fly something so big. You wouldn't have to worry about much of anything being able to attack you.

Eclipse was the largest, so it fits that the bossy cat gets the name. I named Ravager after the super star destroyer I lived on for a bit but it's destroyed now, wedged into the sand of a desert planet.

[And so he hadn't hesitated to name his favorite cat after that destroyer which would always have a place in his heart.]

They are massive, you could emerge from hyperspace and any smaller ship in your way would just hit like a bug on the windshield against the shields and be obliterated.

Poor cat. [Anakin gives Ravager a little frown. The cat is enjoying Hux's attention too much to pay attention, tail swishing from side to side.]

Who destroyed it? Seems like a waste to me. [Why not commandeer it? He grins at the description.] Space bugs. Maybe you should have named your ship The Flyswatter?

The rebels did. One of their ships pulled it into the planet when it got too close with a tractor beam. Gravity took care of the rest.

[He let Ravager down when the cat wanted to get into the game Executor and Eclipse were playing on the floor.]

My ship is Finalizer though I also use Absolution as well.

[He hisses through his teeth.] How did you survive that?

[They have such a nice trio. Anakin rolls a ball of yarn towards them with his foot.]

All of your ships have impressive names. [He pauses before asking:] Are my kids part of the, ah, rebels?

I made a useful ally in an Imperial admiral. I am here today because we saw how we could be useful to each other.

[because that's normal for a five-year old, right?

He frowned slightly at the mention of Leia and Luke. They had caused him so much trou]

Yes. Leia Organa leads the Resistance and Ren was hunting down Luke. As to where Luke is, I have no idea. No one really did.

You are either very good at impressing the right people or you are damn lucky. [Sure! Totally normal.

Anakin winces and looks away.] Ben turned against his mother and uncle? That complicates things.

[Poor kid. He really is following in his footsteps.]

Don't take this the wrong way, but I hope you don't find them.

I was five years old at the time- perhaps a bit of both. [He got up, deciding that he was not drunk enough for this conversation, especially when talking about Luke, Leia, and Kylo.

He grabbed two bottles of whiskey from the kitchen along with two glasses before returning to the living room.]

Of course, I understand.

You must've been cute. [He tries to imagine a little Hux and all that comes to mind is a little boy with red hair and a perfect uniform. Did Hux ever play games? Get dirty? Explore? Anakin had a full childhood thanks to his mother.]

If we had followed the rules, they wouldn't exist. I guess that's one more reason for you to cling to your regulations.

[he looked at Anakin, confused. His father had always considered him a pathetic disappointment when he was younger, he wasn't sure why Anakin would call him cute.]

I think it was mostly because I was useful. My father had never been in good health so I was needed to take his place.

[No, he would never think that of his kids. Hux's father doesn't deserve to have a son in his opinion. Then again, maybe he doesn't either.]

At five? [His nose wrinkles.] And I thought I had it bad. At least I had a good mother and time to be a kid.

You got your priorities wrong, man. Dogs are way superior to cats. And maybe also people.

You are hurt. [ Maglor's eyes are still too bright, but he's here and present in this world, and not the Dagor Bragollach, at least ]

You should come and let Elrond look at that.

[Don't worry, Anakin, you couldn't be a worse dad than Brendol.]

Yes, I started my training as soon as I could walk so it was only natural I took over as soon as I could.

[He set the glasses and bottles on the table between them, pouring out whiskey for both of them.]

The fire did not take me this time. {Though Maedhros has a fresh burn on a shoulder where he literally lifted burning timbers off those who were trapped. It's been tended though.}

My brother says rightly, I would like Elrond to take a look at your leg.

[Okay cats and Elves. Mainly tall Elves with red hair. He is very specific!]

You're not okay. [He is on his feet in an instant, burned leg or not.] He probably has his hands full and I can heal up just fine. I didn't have any complications after I lost my hand.
