[The moment Michael steps toward him, Lance steps back and raises his hands slightly in a gesture that's somewhere between defensive and placating. But at least Michael seems to get a hold of himself, and Lance is successfully convinced that maybe this is something more than the normal reaction to stress or trauma.

The problem is that now he's suddenly concerned about Michael will react to what he says, but he tries to shove that aside for now. The priority here is trying to help, so that's what he's going to focus on.]


Alright. Then it's possibly a side effect of Hope's current issues.

That means he should be able to fix it, so it likely won't be permanent and therefore you'll only have to deal with it for a limited time.

[Presumably. Hopefully. And who knows how long that time might be. But that's still better than it being permanent, right?

Yeah. He's nailing it. Might as well get the next part of what he has to say out at the same time, because it truly is important even if he isn't sure how Michael might take it.]


But if your fear is that you don't have control, that doesn't seem to be the case.

[Which is a good sign and something that can be a starting place to work on managing whatever really is going on.]
