[ Will's been missing for a little while now. Hard times hit and just being able to pretend he could cope was no longer an option. After considerable thought and a short conversation with Confusion, Will decided drastic action was needed.

His memory has been tampered with, Will can no longer recall anything that happened to him after Hope resurrected him... Save from a few blurred memories of being fed his own heart by Hannibal, which was nice...

So there he was, standing in the middle of the street, blood splattered across his face, a knife in his hand and a confused look in his eyes. Sure, it looked bad and considering his history it could have been catastrophic, even Will didn't seem to know what he was doing. ]

This place doesn't seem real but I don't feel like I'm dreaming anymore... I don't know what's going on.

[ Looking up at the twin suns in the sky, their rays reflecting against his dirty glasses. He was more confused now than he had ever been. ]

People are missing- -dead... Are we not underground? I remember robots and fighting.

[ He starts to shake, nerves and shock kicking in. Slipping his glasses from his face and covering his eyes. That's right, he'd went through with this drastic change just before the Null attacked, memories were mixing, it was hard to focus.]

I can't find Winston or my foxes... I can't...

[ Alana is startled to say the least, a foot shifting back, her arms coming up in front of her, wings extending out, and thoughts of the large piece wood she's keeping on the bag at her back flashing through her mind.

But he doesn't, and while it doesn't keep her from being on alert, at least he's dropped the knife.]

Who's Abigail?

[ Will was never safe, not really. Not with that mind of his anyway. Still, it was an enjoyable feeling, knowing someone was still worried enough to come and search for him. Didn't stop Will from feeling like a burden though. ]

The Null... Those, robot beings? The ones trying to kill our Gods?

[ He was in the midst of having a kind of lobotomy, courtesy of Confusion at the time. Will could recall small parts of what was happening, but it all seemed to get jumbled up. His mind was a mess right now. ]

Could you maybe come with something to drink, eat perhaps? ... I don't know how long I've been out here for.

[ He was weak and famished. ]

... Heart?

[ The word is uttered, more like a question Will was trying to confirm the answer to himself. His 'memory palace' was thick with a fog of incense, images of Hannibal cooking him a smoked heart... His heart. ]

Er, nevermind. I er, I think I might have suffered a concussion. Can't seem to separate imagination from reality.

[ Would he buy it? Will had yet to recognize the voice of who he was talking to. The strangely curious man who had been ever so interested in murderers when they first met. ]

A couple of weeks?

[ He sighed. That would explain why he felt so weak and exhausted. ]

I don't know how I've survived... I have no recollection of the past weeks.

[ Surprisingly, the sudden appearance of Alana's wings unfolding behind her, seemed to calm Will, almost instantly. He stared, his pupils twitching like the lens of a camera. Fixate. ]

I er, she's my... I guess she's my daughter. My responsibility now...

[ Rubbing his eyes, then his temples before smashing the palm of his hand across the front of his face. It had been a long day. ]

...your daughter?

[ That catches her attention, causes her to lower her arms a bit.

How many times is she going to hear stories about people losing their kids?

--Not that she knows what happened, but, if he's here, then at least it's almost certain that they're not together right now. ]

[well, add George to the list. odds are, she'll try talking him into coming to the house she shares and eating something when she finds him.

she gets a good look at the stores and streets and it's enough for her to zero in to his location. good, she's already halfway there]

Yeah, it's hotter than hell. And the water's fucked up, too, so that's fun. But whatever, we'll deal. Right?

[her voice turns hopeful at the end]

Hannibal's and mine... Surrogate, I eh, she lives with me here now... I think?

[ That's right. Hannibal had left, the door that pulled them all here, decided to send him back home. What a cruel thing to do, especially now the three of them; Will, Hannibal and Abigail were all together, safe.

No, no she must have been all on her own in Will's absence!? Oh God, he hopes she okay! ]

I have to find her!

[ Will sat himself down, leaning up against a rundown-looking stores wall. Rolling the sleeves of his shirt up and unbuttoning the two few buttons. God, he must have stunk, he couldn't recall what he'd been doing for weeks! Out in the elements, all exposed and confused. ]

Water-

[ Will uttered the word, expecting it to quench his thirst. ]

Is there none? The river, the lake?

Hey, hey, relax, it's okay.

[She still, still does not approach, but...damn it, she can't just leave him like this, not when he's looking for his kid.

But she's not stupid, she's deal with similar situations before. She's also well aware where that knife is, on the ground, and maybe she can get it...

It's not that she doesn't want to help. She'd just feel a lot better if this dude wasn't armed.]

We can-- we can look for her? What does she look like?

Yeah, it's hard to get used to two suns now.

[She looks at the video]

Do you know where you are now? We could find a place for you to clean up first.

[She nods.]

We'll protect each other in these new lives.

[Though she isn't sure how. She hadn't been able to keep Hannibal there.]

[and this is a particularly harsh set of elements to be exposed to. he must have sweat his way through his shirt by now]

The river and the lake are okay. I--don't have a water bottle with me, though. Maybe we'll find one at the shops, or even a bowl would work. I'm almost there.

[and she arrives where Will is at, going over to him and crouching down at his side]

Hey.

You ate your own heart.

[He is less than convinced, but then again, this is Hadriel.]

Concussions don't usually make people hallucinate, but I guess they can. I'd say see a doctor but it's not like we have MRI machines here.

[It's less that he's dismissing it and more that he doesn't have the patience lately. You get a pass for now, Will. On that front, at least.]

Maybe you've been eating monsters? Might explain the blood. That or you just killed somebody.

[Speaking of not having patience.]

[ A lot had taken a backseat for Rose, too, but she's trying to get back on the right path again. She's trying to drag herself up from rock bottom. ]

Yeah, dude, it's me. Still here. But the tunnels- Dang, that sucks. Glad you're back though.

Correct.

[The video on Ignis' side shifts as he moves, responding to the question before he even replies verbally.]

Supplies are harder to come by than they were, but I can certainly do that. [He can even bring some water that isn't going to produce weird effects, now they've figured that out.]

Stay where you are. Try to sit down. And... perhaps, put down that knife.

Fear-chan moved us after defeating off the Null. Twice. Once to kill the remnants, and a second to move us to safety, so we ended up here. Before that, Hope-chan was seriously injured, Sorrow-chan died. And I believe it was revealed that Delight-chan was the culprit that got everyone involved in this war.

Simply put, we are supposedly out of harm's way here, aside from the fluctuations of the two suns and being reduced to scavenging.

And, speaking of which, are you near any pools of water? If you are, it will probably be faster than I can reach you.

[ Will Graham is good at a lot of things. Relaxing is not one of them. He doesn't mean to snap out or be rude, it's an automatic reaction. ]

I'm sorry, have you ever actually tried to relax? Not possible!

[ He was pacing now. One hand on his hip, the other running through the mess of dark curls that littered his forehead. No, no, he had to focus. Alana was right, they could look for her. ]

Perfect. She's perfect. Long dark hair, bight dark eyes, a scar on her-

[ Will stopped himself. Wiping a bead of sweat from his brow, Abigail wouldn't like it if he absentmindedly blurted out such secrets. Taking a breath, trying to calm. ]

She's probably back at the apartment... That or down by the river.

[ Will nodded. Chewing the inside of his lips as he tried to think, tried to focus. ]

Hmm... Not entirely certain, no. I think the spirals are over that way...

[ Turning around a few times, letting Abigail see any landmarks that might have remained the same in the City shift. Will gestured in one direction. ]

Perhaps if I can get back to the apartment? I could really do with some clean clothes.

[ Looking down at his blood-soaked shirt, a little remorse showing in his expression. He's do anything he had to, to protect Abigail... Even if that meant killing again. ]

[ Will has tired himself out, that and the shock was kicking in, adrenaline wearing off. All he could do was nod and offer a faint smile as she spoke on the video.

After a few more moments, George was in sight. Like a mirage at first, just a figure made of blurry lines. Will squinted and blinked as she crouched down beside him. Raising a hand to shade his eyes. ]

Hey.

[ That awkward smile of his, the lack of eye contact for anything longer than a few seconds. He was exhausted. ]

[she tries to look reassuring. she's not so sure if she's doing a good job at it]

Wanna get outta here?

[she can tell that he's exhausted and feels the need to poke some food and water into him]

[ Oh it was true alright. Hannibal had cut it out just after he killed him. Managed to preserve it. Apparently, Hope could bring you back intact, yet leave old parts behind.

Still, it's best he doesn't believe him. ]

I think maybe I'll just try and sleep it off. Give me a few days to come around. Feels like I've lost in the wilds for far too long.

[ Will froze. The fear kicking in. That or you just killed somebody. The words stirred up far too many emotions for Will to handle. His face twisted awkwardly as he tried to process what was real and what was not. ]

I er, I... I think, er I was attacked perhaps... Yea, I've been in the tunnels so...

[ Will never got tired of hearing her talk. Her voice, the manner in which she spoke. It was welcoming, something he needed right about now. So, he smiled and moved awkwardly from propping up against a wall, to sliding down to the floor instead. ]

Yea... I've been going through some stuff... Got a little confused for a while there. And thanks, though I feel like shit.

[ The moment Ignis informs Will that he can indeed bring him some sundries, Will felt a wave of relief wash over him.

Nodding, taking heed of the advice he was being given, Will moved, leaning against a wall and gently lowering himself to the floor. It wasn't until it registered that last thing Ignis said, that Will started to feel panic again.

Put down that knife - Will gulped, dropped the knife and started to examine the blood that dotted across his hands. ]

I... I don't think... I don't know what...

[ He sighed deeply, covering his eyes with his hands. Think Will, think. ]

I wouldn't harm you if that's what you're worried about.

. . .

[ That was a lot to take in. Will raised his brows, closed his eyes for a moment and shook his head, as he tried to process all that information. ]

Sorrow's dead? ...

[ Will wasn't fond of many of the Gods but he had a deeper connection to Sorrow and fear, he'd never thought about how he'd feel if they were to die. Sighing a deep exhale over a trembling lip. This was too much. ]

Wait, I er, pools of water? I thought they were just heat, reflection on the ground. Yea, I er, I think I'm near one.

[ Dragging himself a few passes to the left, Will raised his head a looked, spotting a pool and a strange temple in the distance. A few hundred yards away at least. ]

[Whoops. Michael knows that expression. Seeing it on someone else should probably spark more in him, should get the attention of a certain something, but it doesn't. The Visitor is silent still, and he himself has no urge to do anything about the possibility that Will might've killed someone.

Well. Alright.]

Yeah, that's probably it. Which is impressive, that you fought off monsters while you were out of it.

[He'll let Will have a pass on that excuse. It's about as plausible as anything.]

You should probably get cleaned up and make sure you're not hurt. And eat some real food. Drink some water, but watch where you get it from. The gods are influencing it.

[ It'd be a small comfort to know that she was... Well, a small comfort to other people. Especially now, when it feels like she's working so hard to take care of herself and still coming up short. ]

A lot of us have, dude, don't feel bad. [ There's a small huff of a laugh though at that last bit. ] At least you're honest. I'm sure I sound a lot better than I look, really.
