(The change in weather has been difficult on everyone and everything. Sansa has her abundant hair tied back and she is wearing a much lighter dress than usual.)

I have food for you. Don't be frightened. (She rattles a bowl - gently, not obnoxiously - hoping to entice a rather emaciated dog.) If you need water, we have enough to spare for you.

(The poor thing isn't big enough to need much of anything to eat or drink.)

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might get him inside for a good meal and a bath?

[ Curufin is working on the irrigation project that Seel is organizing. He is down in one of the ditches, standing knee deep in the water than has started to flow past the headgates he has just opened so that the water can flow in from the river. He sets his shovel on his shoulder and climbs up out of the ditch, and sits down on the bank with his phone. ]

Just keep talking softly to him.

[She speaks softly.]

The poor guy. I think you're doing everything right. Maybe put the bowl down and step away from it? So he can eat, and once he has some food in him, he might be more willing to trust you.

(She has taken to carrying around some water with her - who knows when it might be needed? Upon seeing Curufin, she sets down the bowl of food and water and takes out the bottle.)

You must be exhausted. (She walks carefully by the wary dog and holds out the bottle to the tall Elf.) Can you take a respite?

Yes, please! He is only skin and bones. I believe he deserves better.

(Sansa smiles and nods, setting down the two bowls an arm's length away. Then she backs off, still speaking softly, encouragingly.)

I think he would be a handsome boy if he were healthy.

Poor creature. I will come over and see if we can coax him to us, although you are already doing well, I think.

[ Sansa isn't all that far away, so it doesn't take long for her to find Curufin. He looks up with a smile when she appears with the dog in tow. ]

Thank you, Sansa. [ He reaches up and takes the bottle and takes a deep drink. ] Just in time. I was about to guzzle some of the irrigation ditch water, and that's a bit muddy from all this digging. [ Grin. ]

How are you? And it looks like you've persuaded your little friend that you will do him no harm!

Be careful how much you feed him. A creature used to starvation can rarely handle too much food at once.

[Aren's mabari, sitting beside her, whines sadly upon seeing the other dog. She pets him, though her concerned gaze remains on the phone.]

How about a food trail? Give it some space and patience and I bet that'll be enough temptation for the poor thing.

(Mabaris are lovely creatures and Sansa smiles at the whine.)

Was that advice from your furry friend? (She likes the idea and she brings out more food, making a trail that will be too irresistible to the hungry dog.)

You're right. My instinct is to feed him as much as he will eat, but he would be sick.

That matters infinitely more. (Sansa shifts the camera so Abigail can see the dog tilting his head cutely from side to side.)

I do not doubt that. But what I do for him is for his own good and he will feel better afterwards.

I would be frightened of a feral dog usually, but his eyes tell a different story. He looks...sad.

It's unfortunate, but you'll have to ease him back into eating properly. I have a bit of meat broth from the fire, if you'd like to try him on that first.

(She wrinkles her nose and tuts.) You should not drink such dirty water. (The dog seems to like the sound of Curufin's voice and he pads closer. Sansa turns to watch him, smiling softly.)

He is intelligent. I think I will see him fed. (But in small amounts. She knows how dangerous it is to eat too much after eating so little.)

...I stopped eating...twice. Once after my father's execution and once after I learned of the murder of my mother and brother. When I tried to eat normally, nothing stayed down.

(So she won't hurt the poor dog like that.)

Yes, please. I can put it in a bowl for him.
