[There's a lot of shuffling, scuffling, as Ianchus tries to figure out how to do this exactly. Anyone watching would get some close shots of a knitted brow, or some concentrating, half-grins as he adjusts the camera. Okay, the top of his head is clipped here and he's at the rightmost part of the frame, but close enough.]

Hadriel! Is this working? Is everybody alright? I'm Ianchus Cepheos--I may have met some of you already...!

[And suddenly he has to put his hands over his mouth and laugh. He's not one who usually gets flustered, but talking to what seems to be nobody at all is odd for him.]

Ah, sorry, sorry! I'm not used to this at all. But! I wanted to let everybody know that I'm located on the island that holds the orchard and the hot springs. If you're here too, you're welcome to come to my home in the Love housing.

[And his voice grows a little more serious.]

These waters don't look to be the kindest--quite cold--but if anybody would like to learn to swim, I can oblige. I can also offer myself as a fairly competent seaman, though there don't seem to be any ships nor boats around. [He rubs his lower lip in thought.] I have never been involved in shipwrightery, but I can learn quickly. Or improvise.

To reiterate! Please let me know if I can do anything for you, on the island or off!

[Hesitation, and then...]

Oh, and. If anyone know where the Speakeasy went to, please let me know that, as well.


[Ianchus moves to turn off the phone, and...fails miserably. You are treated to his humming and shuffling in the background during his nightly routine until the damn thing runs out of battery.]

Yes, but after a while, they're harder to find, and I need to take more chances. I assume you're not a gambling man, then, Carlisle?

[he's definitely giving him a coy look.]

[Carlisle returns that coy look with one of mild scorn, as though the very suggestion he might be a gambling man was offensive.]

Absolutely not. Certainly not in a place like this, where upon death, we are necromanced by false gods.

[He's realizing this man's reminding him of his older brother. Which...isn't necessarily a good thing, but at the same time, there's something charmingly familiar about that prickly, boring attitude. And it also means that he can't help but take the piss out of him.]

A task made far simpler if one doesn't take unnecessary risks, but that seems to be beyond some people, now doesn't it?

[He means you, Ianchus. He's definitely talking about you.]

Then let's make a deal. I'll take all the risks, you'll approach everything... [He wiggles his fingers vaguely at the camera] ...Cautious, and at the end we'll compare notes. Hm?
