[The video feed flicks on to show the face of an attractive brunette with blue eyes, her hair pulled back into a ponytail. She's likely in her early-thirties and has an air of confidence, despite the unusual situation she's now in having just arrived on the islands.]

Hi, everyone. I just woke up here, and I wanted to thank everyone who's tried to make this... really weird situation a little more tolerable for those of us who just came through the door.

My name is Jill Valentine. Back home, I'm a member of an anti-bioweapons task force run by the United Nations.

Strangely enough, I'm told I've been here before. I don't remember that, but something about some of you feels really familiar.

[Her eyes scrunch a bit as if trying to search the recesses of her mind, but she can't remember this place no matter how hard she tries. It's almost like trying to recall a dream.]

So I just wanted to say, if you did know me before, you don't have to tip-toe around that. I'd actually like any and all information you can give me so I can prepare myself for this place. If I've already got friends here... well, I'd count that as a very good thing.

[She ends that with a little smile.]

[Jill smiles gently at the greeting. What a nervous guy. Was something wrong? There was a look in his eyes she couldn't quite place, but he appeared to be struggling. Maybe he just wasn't good at talking with people, or maybe it had something to do with her. Jill can only imagine what her other-self may have done before. Hopefully it wasn't anything bad.]

Thanks. This is a little crazy but... people have been really welcoming so far.

[Her brow knits as she studies him further.]

Are you alright? Is something bothering you?

So you essentially just help where help is needed. That's actually something, I think, most worlds need. Someone who can take care of things others can't.

[ She wasn't wrong, Will was very nervous. Seeing someone you once and still did care for, looking younger, unaware that they even knew you? That and he was beyond socially awkward, this just felt so strange for him. Talking to her now, having memories of her then and knowing she didn't even have a clue. He didn't want to impose on her but he couldn't help but be drawn in a talk to her. ]

Oh eh, sorry yea, I'm Will, Will Graham... I er, I used to walk around the City with you when you were with the Guard here last time. You liked my dog, Winston?

[ Will knew there was no way she would be able to remember him, she came from an entirely different time now, it was impossible. But still, he had a little spark of hope in him. ]

[ He wasn't sure why he was bothering with this particular video but Seth hit the reply and stared with a casual gaze.

His hair was faded along his ears and back of the head but tuft on top a little more than military standard especially with the spike style he kept it. There was also the black ink along the side of his neck that was easily seen with him in something resembling a tanktop. His face a usual five o'clock shadow.

The broadcast was from his device in hand so there wasn't anything very telling other than he seemed to be indoors. ]

Name's Seth. Seth Gecko. Relatively new here myself. Heard that my brother was here though--Richard. Not that you'd know if you don't remember bein' here either, but people seemed to know him durin' a time I'm sure I was with him. So there's that.

[ Seth wasn't exactly sure what he was offering her. Maybe more support that she wasn't crazy which she seemed to know already. At least he was making an attempt to play nice with others? Or maybe it was more so that he was still affected over his brother having been here before though the mat didn't add up. ]

[Jill smiles a bit.]

It's not so uncommon. I didn't think my job was any different when I was in the military or the rescue squad I used to be on.

[Isn't that the job of all those who serve? Other worlds surely have similar branches.]

I'm hoping these monsters at least didn't used to be human.

[The ones she's shooting at generally were.]

[Just was only about two years younger than the last time Will had seen her, but she hasn't been through some of the trauma that plagued her the last time she was here. She has that experimentation to look forward to when she returns home.]

Oh, I see.

[Others appeared more eager to greet her back, but not Will. He's very tentative. Maybe he was always this way? Jill couldn't be certain.]

It sounds like we patrolled together. You probably know this place pretty well, then. How about a tour? You can bring Winston, too, if you want.

[Jill doesn't know if the attempt is usual for Seth, but it is appreciated. She'll take every friendly word she can get.]

Nice to meet you, Seth.

So your brother isn't here anymore?

[Perhaps he went home, just as Jill did. If he returned, Richard might not remember this place, either.]

[Henry nods.]

You were. Do you yet remain on the island where you arrived? Our headquarters are here. That is as good a place as any.

[ He gave a single nod of acknowledgement at her greeting. ]

Apparently he hasn't been around for awhile. I got here a couple months ago with my other half and a stray, Richie was already long gone.

[ Maybe later he'd explain that he meant a being and not a dog or cat. ]

Anti-bioweapons, huh? Like nukes?

You came with another person? That must've been a comfort.

[At least he didn't arrive here feeling alone. Not that Jill minds a lot. She's been alone during plenty of assignments before, if just because she was out of touch with a partner.]

If the nuke explodes and contaminates a city with a horrific virus, yes, that would be up my alley.

Two. Yeah, it was.

[ He gave up Leo sooner than expected. As much as the monster pissed him off, Seth did consider the Sunai something of a younger brother. ]

So agent orange kind of shit? You don't mind me askin', what year are you from? Found out there's people here from when I was a kid but've only been around a year. Maybe two.

So you've been down both roads?

[There's a small smile there.]

I don't remember much before the ruin, but it's good to know that there are those out there who protect those who can't really do much for themselves.

[She's not one of those people.]

The year? 2006. At least it was when I left.

[She supposes this place does strange things with years and timelines. Not that Jill ever considered those types of things before. Her world was crazy enough without adding that into the m ix.]

We do whatever we can.

[And Jill certainly never did it entirely alone. There were plenty of times where she had help along the way.]

I'm sure there are others here who could say the same.

Seriously?

[ He wasn't expecting that. ]

I'm a whole decade ahead of you. My girlfriend too. You don't even wanna know what year Leo's from.

[ Seth shook his head, stopping himself. ]

If you're from Earth. Since some around here ain't.

Yeah, I think I can find it. I'll meet you there.

[Jill will use the maps and information provided, along with the help of some friendly people to make her way to the Guard HQ.]

[It's a lot to consider, but Seth seems like a pretty normal guy, so maybe they're not all that different.]

Yes, I'm from Earth. I didn't consider people here were from other planets, too. But I'm guessing my Earth is different from yours if you don't know a lot about the bio-weapons I mentioned.

[Everyone back home knows about that.]

Different Earths?

[ He barely had wrapped his mind around the different points in time but completely different... universes? That kind of did his brain in. ]

I was about eighteen in two thousand six. Maybe I didn't pay attention to the news back then?

[ Will knew as well as anyone else, that a lot can happen in two years. Jill looked a lot different too, her hair for one and slight differences in her complexion, even her eyes. Will tried not to stare at her, tried not to make it seem as if he was staring at her. ]

I er, I used to know it a lot better, since it's been cracked and shattered apart? Not so much.

[ Part of Will wanted to correct her, let her know that he never really did a patrol with her and that he was possibly more of a distraction than anything else, but at the same time, Maketh was no longer her to put her straight about him- So he was torn in how to respond. ]

Well.. I mean, sure I guess if you'd like that? I er, I know Winston and I would so, yea... Just eh, let me know when I guess?

[ As awkward as always when talking. ]

[Seeing Curufin again makes Jill smile. She believes he really is doing his best to help people out in a strange situation.]

Thank you. I appreciate that. And if there's anything I can do to help, just let me know. I'm still getting accustomed to this, but it's not in me to sit by.

Believe me, you would've heard about the things that happened.

[There was no getting away from the news of it.]

I think everyone would notice if the U.S. government dropped a nuke on a U.S. city.

[ Congratulations! Jill had managed to silence Seth. He stood dumbfounded, mouth hanging open possibly a full minute. ]

We fuckin' nuked ourselves?!

[ He finally blurted. No wonder Leo was eating half the population in his time, if the country was nuking its own citizens. ]

That's right. To stop the spread of the virus. Within a couple of days, it had taken out most of the city. Those who could escape did. Everyone left was... feeding on the living.

[Dropping a nuke was pretty damn extreme, though.]

Then the government tried to cover the whole thing up.

Yeah. The multiverse is all but proven at this point, y'know? Like, how else do you explain all this? I don't know if you've noticed, but we've got people here from all over the damn place. It's wild.

[And exciting, if you ask him. It's far and away the coolest part about being here.]

Oh yeah? What's your field?

[Yeah he definitely forgot that she led with that in her post. Sorry, Jill. He heard the "been here before" bit and the rest went right out the window.]
