That much, I don't dispute. [Kira's followers were idiots. Near can follow the logic on how people would buy into it, how they could get onto the track that Kira had been doing good in the world, as nonsensical as that belief is. That much is basic psychology. But Near knows better than those people. He has no delusion that he is an upstanding member of society himself, understands on some level that he is a damaged person. The fact of the matter is that he's fine with both of these things and has no particular desire to change them.
