For those of you who have [ pause, a low hum, ] superpowers. Has this place ever taken them from you?

If you wish to speak in person, I will be in the park. In the red jacket.

​​[ She has ways of being completely private, but that's a little invasive and not something to advertise. Anyone heading to the park to speak to her or in the vicinity will see a young woman on a bench, with a thermos full of tea next to her, steam rising off the cup clasped in her hands. ]

That makes him wonder. He didn't try this yet here - had no reason to - but...

A good while later, Muscovy will show up in the park, looking around until he spots a red jacket, and walks towards her.]

Hello.

[scarletcast]

[ She blinks, looks at him up and down. His thoughts are a little funny, but Wanda registers that more as the hum of a radio crackling in and out than any real focus on what he's thinking. ]

Hello. Would you like to sit down?

[muscovy]

[He pulls himself onto the bench as an answer and looks at her.]

Did you lose a power?

[scarletcast]

No, but if they take from others, they will take from me.

[muscovy]

[That is a strange reasoning.]

Did you make them angry at you?

[Why would they target her specifically, if she didn't get herself in trouble?]

[scarletcast]

No.

[ Not yet. ]

I was wondering. They are capable of a lot.

[muscovy]

[He nods thoughtfully.]

They're keeping the General away. I can't call him anymore.

[He wouldn't tell people about that normally, not back home where people know about his protector. But here, nobody knows, so his presence won't be assumed and he's not making himself vulnerable by admitting that he cannot call upon him.]

[scarletcast]

[ She frowns. ]

What do you use the General for?

[muscovy]

He is ice and snow and freezing storms, and when someone tries to make bad things happen I call him to make them go away or stop.

[Because people and predators and other dangers can stop because they depart from a geographical spot, or because they depart from life.]
