​​[ She has ways of being completely private, but that's a little invasive and not something to advertise. Anyone heading to the park to speak to her or in the vicinity will see a young woman on a bench, with a thermos full of tea next to her, steam rising off the cup clasped in her hands. ]

With a paper bag full of something resembling peaches in tow, she takes her plac beside Wanda on the bench, slouching a little in her seat.]

So you're worried about the same thing I've been worried about, too.

That makes him wonder. He didn't try this yet here - had no reason to - but...

A good while later, Muscovy will show up in the park, looking around until he spots a red jacket, and walks towards her.]

[ She is silent for some time, then, quietly, ]

I have no use for false assurances.

[ A beat. ]

[ The signature hum of Lilith's thoughts are familiar by now, and Wanda's mouth is already curving into a smile when she sits. ]

Are you surprised?

[ Playful. They have overlap, the two of them. ]

[ She blinks, looks at him up and down. His thoughts are a little funny, but Wanda registers that more as the hum of a radio crackling in and out than any real focus on what he's thinking. ]

Hello. Would you like to sit down?

Very well. I'll ask a better question: how do I know this is no trap?

[ It's not discomfort that keeps her quiet again after Arya asks, it's the inward struggle with finding the right way to express what she wants. ]

[ A few minutes later, a small shadow of a girl slips through the trees. She looks the red woman in the eye. She carries a sword visibly, and there are several other daggers concealed on her person as well. ]

This place took my dreams. What did it take from you?

[ she keeps things non-specific, for safety. ]

[scarletcast]

[ There's no one else around in the park. Wanda knew from the voice it was a child; it's different seeing a shadow slinking up to her. She puts the cup down and turns her palms up, empty, fingers spread. ]

It hasn't, yet. I'm wondering when it will.

[ Yeah see this is why she hates the word. Wanda sighs. ]

[ Thin red streaks dance around her hands, coalesce into a ball of bright red hex energy, and she flicks it at the ground, scorching it. ]

[Elmer watches fascinated, his grin growing as Wanda demonstrates.]

Wow! I'm no expert, but yes, I'd consider that a superpower. Well, I can't do anything that fancy, but I am immortal, so that might count?

Was a while ago... [ there's a sigh and a rustle of paper before she speaks again ] Spoke to someone who could teleport. Apparently they couldn't any more. Also mentioned some problems with other powers they had being weakened.

So they target those who can help us leave.

[ Explains why she's been left alone. Wanda exhales, harshly. ]

I also want to know if this is something Rage would do, to incite us.

Mmm... nah.

[She smiles, too, a little more sheepish, and rifles through the bag for the best of the fruits. (The color's off from Earth peaches, not that she'd know; they're tinted a little lavender.)]

But if it makes you feel better, I only met one person who said her powers didn't work here anymore. See-something, I forget her name.

[Lilith pulls one out and hands it to Wanda.] She'd have been able to teleport us back home. Conveniently.

Do you live for a long time and age slowly, or is it simply that nothing can kill you?

Seems that way. [ Makes the most sense anyway.

There's the click of Kate's tongue at the second part. ] Maybe. Haven't heard of it happening, but... [ She trails off. Well, who would put it past them? ]

Something happened to your powers?

[scarletcast]

Not yet.

[ It's just naïveté to think nothing ever will: ]

I want to be prepared.

[dedikated]

Fair enough.

[ She can see the sense in that, really. ] If anything does, send me a message or stop at the clinic. Worked with power problems back home.

[ a beat. ] Not sure how much we could do for it, but I can at least look for the cause.

[ When she trusts you, and Bruce is there at the clinic; having someone there is better than no one. ]

[He pulls himself onto the bench as an answer and looks at her.]
