[ Since the City seemed to be back to normal again or at least it was whole once more, Will had decided to come out of hiding. He'd been held up in his apartment, eating very little and trying not to exert much energy. He'd never really been all that good at fighting, so he left hunting monsters to Hannibal. Now that he had access to the other side of the City, Will had spent the last few days working on a little project of his.
He was down by the lake when the video feed came on. Sleeves rolled up, sweat sticking curls of hair to his forehead and there was a healthy layer of dirt covering him too. A small axe he'd borrowed from the armory, some homemade rope, and stacks of wood he'd already scavenged or cut down. He was making a small hut to use when out fishing originally but had extended the project upon some thought. ]
Almost done... I er, my apartment was becoming a little over populated... What with all of these fellas , Winston, myself and Hannibal all living there so... I mean, I'm not exactly okay with the idea of people adopting them... I'd hate to think some of you tried to eat them after claiming them so... So I've built a little habitat for them. Please, please respect it?
[ Will turns his phone around, letting you see the 14+ Fennic fox and pair of Nugs he'd rescued when the demons arrived. He'd made a very small compound for them, much like a chicken coop and run. A few small huts for them to take shelter in and a small fence to hopefully keep things out. It was right next to his fishing hut too! So he could keep an eye on them of course. ]
I'd say you're all welcome to come and keep them company, they like to play... Er, you're also welcome to use the trapper shack too, but I mean, I'm there most days catching fish anyways so... Yeah.
[ Awkward as ever he cuts the feed. Closing his eyes and sighing. He'd forgotten to ask if anyone wanted to help him build it up a little bigger or to see if he needed permission from the Gods to start with. Oh well~ Never mind, right? ]

[ He bends down and rather skillfully, with little effort at all, manages to catch one of the two walking past. Holding it up in a sort of cradle for Bianca to look at. ]
They're pretty resilient, cute too. I think these two are both male... I haven't actually checked now I come to think about it...
[ Scratching the top of his head with his free hand, looking around at his feet for the other Nug. ]

That's probably not the way to get them to breed.

No, not as bad as you'd think actually. I'm pretty good at grooming them and taking them out... I mean, sure animal hair and heat made it a little whiffy from time to time.
audio
Ugh, and with no AC and wind. I kind of don't mind the way animals smell, though. Not dirty ones but that sort of... farmy smell, I guess. I like that.
Do any of them bite?

[ Winston is his dog, not his child, though Will doesn't really see a difference. ]
I mean, they don't bite and I've handled them all so they're used to being picked up and pet.

[Because omg they're really cute. The hairless things... Not so much, and he has no idea what they are, but whatever; he'll just focus on the foxes for now.]
Er, yea they are. They em, they arrived here a few months back, I kind of collected them up and took care of them. Pretty adorable aren't they?
But fennec foxes--!]
That's so cool; I didn't know there were any animals around here aside from the birds.
[And okay, cute animals are important--especially when life kind of sucks otherwise--but he realizes he should probably introduce himself.]
I'm Lance, by the way. I just arrived a few days ago.
[Not that he's buying the whole story about how this place works, but easier to just go with the terminology people are using.]

I wasn't going to, no... Why do you ask?

Given that starvation is a very real threat we face, I'd think that would be obvious.

Still, sometimes he presses the right buttons, sees the right things at the right times.]
Are those Fennec foxes?!
[Nathan Drake has honed in on the most important, most critical part of this message, which is the fact that the man on the network has a small army of big-eared, vulpine friends.]
video;
They are indeed. I adopted them a while back when some strange circumstances abandoned them here.
[ Will kneels down, setting the camera side of his communicator closer to the curious foxes, letting them sniff up to the lens, allowing Nate a much better view of them. ]
I'm trying to build them a home where they can hopefully thrive.

Would it be wrong if I called you a Disney Princess?
[Because with that many furry friends, she's not wrong.]

Her comment made him smile, considering an answer such as ' I haven't trained them how to help with the laundry' but instead, being the huge dork Will secretly is, he spreads his arms, does a little twirl and attempts to sing a few lines of something that sounded remotely Snow White-ish... Only instead of encouraging his little critter friends join in and do something adorable... He kind of scared them off.
Foxes and Nugs giving Will a startled look before scattering under or behind anything to get away from his 'singing' ]
... Maybe Princess in training?

[Amos grins at the camera, happily. He likes the animals a lot and is quite pleased to see Will's efforts at making a nice habitat for them. Honestly he'd let the animals run free, as he's a big supporter of wild creatures living wild or as close to it as possible, but care went into this and he's not going to discourage Will for that.]
I'll come visit 'em! An' help out if you need help watchin' 'em. I think they're close enough to where I live they're in my range.
I don't fish though. I just feed 'em.
Video
[ Will remembers when Amos came and had a go on his snow sled, he seemed nice enough and appeared to like animals, so he thought they were safe enough around him. ]
That would actually be great. I don't want to run the risk of setting them fully free and having some monsters maim them, so I thought this was the next best thing.
[ He smiled at the comment about fishing. Will felt like a bit of a hypocrite. He ate meat, he ate fish but here he was hoping that people wouldn't want to eat his pets. Still, he respected Amos' decision. ]
I feed the fish too from time to time. I only fish for them when I actually need them.

Mostly, she's surprised that there's concern for animal life when so many there likely feel threatened for their own securities. Granted, it's a sign of humanity to care for others, to be concerned about the welfare of those weaker than you, and then to do something about it. Until you're pushed too far and start to lose grips. Anyway.
She replies from her and Elena's apartment, sitting on her own bed. She starts off strong and with questions. ] You think are people here who wouldn't? Is vandalism a big problem? [ In normal circumstances. When bodies and debris aren't slung across the city's grounds. ]
Those are foxes? [ Right? ] What are the...other ones?
video.
Nodding, kneeling down and petting some of the closer foxes as one of the Nugs does a cute little hop-run past him. ]
I'm certain of it. Actually, I'm kind of waiting for people to start coming and asking me what they can trade for them... I can't really see how you'd get much meat off of them anyways...
[ Setting his hand down and letting the Nug come and sniff at him. He smiled, clearly, he cared deeply about the animals he'd been looking after. Will was better with animals than he was with people. ]
This guy... It's called a Nug, it's not from my world so I can't tell you much about it... Other than it likes to play.
[ As he spoke, the Nug rolled over onto its back, kicking its legs at Will and making an adorable sound. ]

Might come visit those little guys, too. Jack has a pet Nug. They're cute.

It brings a genuine smile to his face when he sees Ellie on the other end of the feed. ]
Ellie! Hey, how are you? I've er, I've been meaning to catch up and see how you've been doing.
[ He really has too! He was so worried about her when they first met. It's nice to see she's found her feet. Still, he can't help the urge to want to try and look after her. ]
I could do with a good laugh. Don't suppose you know any good joke? Pretty sure I could swap a few fish for a few chuckles.
[ Heck, if she's going to come over and see the foxes sometimes, Will could even show her how to catch herself some fish too. ]
And sure! Come down anytime, they like having the company.
