video;
[ Since the City seemed to be back to normal again or at least it was whole once more, Will had decided to come out of hiding. He'd been held up in his apartment, eating very little and trying not to exert much energy. He'd never really been all that good at fighting, so he left hunting monsters to Hannibal. Now that he had access to the other side of the City, Will had spent the last few days working on a little project of his.
He was down by the lake when the video feed came on. Sleeves rolled up, sweat sticking curls of hair to his forehead and there was a healthy layer of dirt covering him too. A small axe he'd borrowed from the armory, some homemade rope, and stacks of wood he'd already scavenged or cut down. He was making a small hut to use when out fishing originally but had extended the project upon some thought. ]
Almost done... I er, my apartment was becoming a little over populated... What with all of these fellas , Winston, myself and Hannibal all living there so... I mean, I'm not exactly okay with the idea of people adopting them... I'd hate to think some of you tried to eat them after claiming them so... So I've built a little habitat for them. Please, please respect it?
[ Will turns his phone around, letting you see the 14+ Fennic fox and pair of Nugs he'd rescued when the demons arrived. He'd made a very small compound for them, much like a chicken coop and run. A few small huts for them to take shelter in and a small fence to hopefully keep things out. It was right next to his fishing hut too! So he could keep an eye on them of course. ]
I'd say you're all welcome to come and keep them company, they like to play... Er, you're also welcome to use the trapper shack too, but I mean, I'm there most days catching fish anyways so... Yeah.
[ Awkward as ever he cuts the feed. Closing his eyes and sighing. He'd forgotten to ask if anyone wanted to help him build it up a little bigger or to see if he needed permission from the Gods to start with. Oh well~ Never mind, right? ]

Re: Video
Sorry. I haven't laughed like that in awhile.
[It felt good.]
I'm sure the animals will enjoy having their own home.
no subject
Well at least you enjoyed it... I'm sorry little buddy.
[ Kneeling down and petting one of the startled animals as it poked its head out from its hiding to see if Will was finished 'singing' ]
Yea, it was getting a little crowded inside. It'll be nice for them to experience living in the wild... Or, well as close to wild as can be.
[ He was so caring, worrying about the animals more than himself. ]
no subject
At least we can visit with them when you give me those fishing lessons.
[Things have been so crazy, they never did quite get around to that.]
no subject
As Jill mentioned visiting, at first he mistook it as her saying she wanted to come over to his apartment again, instead of what it was actually about... Those cute little critters. ]
You're welcome anytime. I think I still have some of your stuff? Or well, I mean, Winston might have brought over some of your stuff?
[ It was true! Ever since Jill played fetch with Winston and an ugly Christmas sweater, Winston had a thing for bringing over one of her boots or even her pillow or socks now and again. ]
Oh! Fishing, yea, I've err.... I've started to collect and dry it for everyone, if you're free sometime, I could do with a hand?
no subject
So that's what happened. I started to think I was becoming senile.
[At least she knows she hasn't just misplaced random things in random places.]
Sure, when do you want me?
[Jill can always manage to find time for him.]
no subject
You might be senile too, I have seen you talking to yourself on your patrols before.
[ Joking in his tone and he couldn't help the smile that started to stretch across his face as he teased her. Just forget the part about him watching her on her patrols... It's not like he stalks her or anything... ]
When do I want you?...
[ He had to think for a moment before his mouth went without his mind's consent. ]
Honestly? Whenever you're free would be great. Next week, tomorrow, an hour from now, yesterday?
[ That stupid expression on his face. A mix of nervousness overwashed with amusement. ]
no subject
The mention of her talking to herself does make Jill momentarily embarrassed.]
It helps me think!
[Has she done that in view of him? Well, maybe he saw her muttering to herself before approaching her.]
Hmm, I don't think I can do yesterday, but any of the other times are good. I can be there in an hour?
[If that's really what he wants.]
no subject
Her reaction was perfect. Seeing Jill embarrassed, if only for a second, always made will feel like he had achieved something. ]
Hey, if that's how your professionals back home get things done, who am I to judge?
[ Still with mocking and a playful joke to his tone. Chances are, she probably hadn't done it in front of him at all. will being Will, he was at least able to assume correctly if she had or not. ]
Can you? Er, okay then. In an hour. It's a date... Er I mean it's er. Nevermind.
[ Oh and he was doing so well too! The odd nervous, bumbling mistake was inevitable after all. ]
no subject
[He seems like the type that would, even if she hasn't personally witnessed it. Or maybe he just has lots of conversations in his head. Either way! Maybe Jill was just the subject of his profiling expertise. She likes that he's smart, though.
When he gets flustered over his own words again, Jill smiles.]
See you in an hour.
[True to her word, Jill will head to the riverside within an hour to meet up with Will and give him any help she can provide.]
[ video > action ]
[ Smirking as he spoke. It was true! When Jack left Will unattended and completely alone at a crime scene, Will would close his eyes, mentally walk around and act out the murders. Often Will would find he'd moved around a little and even spoke out loud as he investigated. That and he was a little crazy after all.
Seeing Jill smile at his embarrassment seemed to dull it down a little. Making him feel less awkward and more accepted. He nodded and bowed his head. ]
In an hour it is.
[ As he waited for Jill to arrive, Will took to laying down on the grass. The small foxes and shy nugs thought this was a perfect opportunity to dive bomb him, using him as a climbing frame or something to nibble on to sharpen their teeth. Will didn't mind at all, he enjoyed knowing the animals were comfortable enough to abuse him like so .]
Re: [ video > action ]
When she arrived to see Will covered in playful critters, Jill couldn't help but laugh at the sight.]
I guess they forgave your singing.
[ action ]
[ Will sat up, a fox rolling down his chest and into his lap, where it decided to spring up and leap off of him, maybe kicking him a little in the groin as it did, his expression winced into an unpleasant look- though he played it off well, giving a cough and drawing his legs up, knees to chest. ]
I might be in a little over my head this time... I have a problem when it comes to collecting strays.
[ He laughed, moving to stand and meet Jill properly. ]
Re: [ action ]
Everyone deserves a home.
[So she can't really fault him for it. Especially when he takes such good care of them.]
What can I do to help?
no subject
They do. I just want to make sure they're happy and safe.
[ Smiling as she asked what she could do to help. Will came to stand back up and dusted himself down of dirt and grass. ]
Well, for a start, we need to make sure they're all marked. I soaked some vegetable leaves and flower petals to make a kind of natural dye. we just need to get a little on everyone's underbelly. That way I can tell which ones are mine from any wild ones we might attract.
no subject
Okay, sounds good. Just tell me what to do.
[She'll follow his lead.]
no subject
Are you any good at tackling and catching?
[ As he said this, one of the foxes made a mad dash past Will, who soon turned and chased the animal towards Jill to catch. It would be easier if one herded them and the other grabbed them. One at a time. ]
no subject
Got it!
no subject
There. How does that look? Subtle but obvious... If that, makes sense?
[ Tilting his head, trying to get a look and make sure the marking was alright. ]
no subject
Stylish. I don't think he'll mind. Or she'll mind.
[Whichever is correct. Once the fox was marked, she let the little guy go.]
no subject
[ Right then, as Jill was rendered helpless, on account of holding a precious little fox, Will decided to make Jill looked just as stylish as the fox.
He slowly and without seeming obvious, moved his fingers to point behind Jill. His expression looked concerned and he managed to keep it up for as long as it too for Jill to turn and look. ]
What the-....
[ Quickly! Will smeared a little of the dye, just on the tip of Jill's nose! He feigned a look of surprise then as if it was by mistake. ]
no subject
Hey! If I wasn't holding this little guy, you'd be in for it, buddy.
[Be wary of her revenge, Will! It will strike when you least expect it.]
no subject
Oh, I'm shaking in my boots.
[ Far too amused by the situation. Will wouldn't mind her payback anyway, he kind of assumed she'd try and get her own back on him at some point, but he'd probably forget about it before long. ]
no subject
[Then Jill will have plenty of opportunity to get her revenge on Will. Self-defense lessons can be dangerous. Remember that!
With a smile, she put the critter into his pen so he can rejoin his little friends.]
