[Video & Voice] cw: for mild gore
Why won't you work the way I want you to?
[ The video was mostly accidently, Will laying in his bed fiddling with the buttons on his phone. Will had been trying to dial numbers from home, all to no avail. He'd tried turning it off and then on again, hoping that resetting it would give him the means of calling home... Not that he had anyone to answer but still. Failing that, he was checking the contact list every 5 minutes, just in case another name was added that he might recognize, or the possibility that his own would vanish. ]
If I take you apart and you break...
[ He sighed and the video feed cuts off for a moment. It next returns a few hours later, after having accidentally, privately called a few people only to hang up quickly after having realized he was calling. As his finger lingered wearily over the connect button, having fallen into a light sleep while trying and testing his methodical and repetitive act. His finger pressed heavy with sleep and called the network, only to show the ceiling of his apartment, the uttered mumblings of his sleeptalking. ]
I wasn't... Thinking straight... I was... Upset... Angry...
[ The feed cuts off as Will's palm enveloped the device. Until a few hours later that is.
The feed seemed to be swinging, Will still holding his phone down by his side as he walked slowly into the night. Clues of his whereabouts in the City came in small sections as the camera swayed in motion with his steps. It was dark and a thick fog seemed to roll in from out of nowhere. Then the noise began. A loud and steady siren, yet Will remained calm. A dark blur moved passed the camera of his phone, steam from the breath of a large animal puffed out the nose and directly on the screen. It was anightmareish stag that dislodged the phone from Will's hand, becoming clear to those viewing as it leaned down and gave a snort from its nose.
Will swayed in his slumber where he stood, then took to walking again, just a few feet in front of the device, he was seen barefoot and dressed in only a sweat soaked t-shirt and boxers, the stag followed close to his side as other motions and shadows from the fog began to emerge. Human-like forms with their arms bound across their chests held in place with a sheath of discolored skin, yet Will continued to sleepwalk towards them. Ash started to gather around the small lens of his phones camera, distorting the view, yet just before it was covered and the screen went a static white and gray, something else from Will's deepest, darkest dreams, scooped the phone up before dropping it suddenly, knocking it hard enough to crack the screen and switch to audio only. Will's trembling, cold, voice in the near distance, speaking out softly as the sirens continued making it harder to hear. He sounded almost as if he was coming around from his slumber, confused and tired. ]
... I brought you a gift... Then thought better of it... I had no idea you were here... Abi- !!
[ Suddenly the sound of fast movement and heavy thudding. He'd fallen? Been pushed down? Something wasn't right at all. Nothing but the sounds of labored breathing and slight grimacing. Will felt out and found his phone in the thick settling ash, holding it up to his face to use as a light. The cracked screen flickering in and out of static and feed, showing a rather disheveled and confused looking Will who had no idea he was broadcasting this whole time. ]
She was just here... Where'd...
[ The screen showed Will's face as his eyes searched the blinding darkness of blackest night and ashfall. Though he was not alone. Something was lurking behind him, just over a shoulder, just at arm's length away. ]

She was just here... Where'd...
[ The screen showed Will's face as his eyes searched the blinding darkness of blackest night and ashfall. Though he was not alone. Something was lurking behind him, just over a shoulder, just at arm's length away. ]
video;
Where are you. [ He gruffly demands as he straps on his sword. ] If I get to you before that thing behind you does, you owe me a mug of whatever it is that's got you so drunk.
video;
[ Will turned around, looking behind him but nothing was there, just a shadow that passed quickly when he moved. Will rubbed at his sleepy eyes and grumbled. ]
There're a few problems with that... I don't know where I am... And all I've had to drink is two fingers of whiskey... I'm not drunk.
[ The white of the ash was almost blinding. Squinting as he looked at the screen. Will didn't recognize the man but then again, he hardly recognized himself anymore. ]
video;
[ He snorted in disbelief. ]
Give me a look around then. Show the surroundings. Should be easy enough to find you, then.
video;
Nothing but sheer white fog surrounded him. The odd image dotted about here and there of things curious about Will, but for the most part had stayed back... For now. ]
Not a lot out here. Think that's a building... Could be an old car there...
[ His commentary was unessayed, it was more Will making a point of how lost he was. ]
video;
Being out there like that, all alone, is practically a death sentence, you realize.
video;
[ He was sarcastic in his response, he should have known better but it just slipped out. Sighing and covering his eyes. God, he was tired, how was it he always ended up in these situations? ]
Not afraid of death, are you?
[ Will surmised as he watched the man on the other side of the video feed. Sure, he looked to be wearing some kind of armor and had a weapon but Will couldn't help notice how easily he was coming to rescue him, after just informing him of how dangerous the place was. Didn't he care about his own safety? Or did he just want to help others that badly that he was willing to face death himself? ]
video;
[ The Hound countered which was sort of a non-answer. He wasn't a hero by any means, but for some bizarre reason when he saw Will, he couldn't help but recognize something in him. A weird kinship. They were both loners. They both strayed from the public on purpose. And, at least in his eyes, they both drank a whole hell of a lot (because what else explained Will being out there!) ]
But I'd say I'm far more equipped to look death straight in the eye and tell it to fuck off, little man.
video;
[ Collecting strays is something Will does well, they just flock to him and there they stay. Never had such a big one curious in him, though. This could be interesting. ]
Well then by all means.
[ Spreading his arms in a welcome, to usher the large, intimidating man to meet him and lead him out. ]
be my guest.
video --> action
So. Tell me again why you would wander off this far, then, if you're not drunk? Doesn't seem to me like the sort of place you'd want to take a nice, evening stroll.
action
Look at me...
[ Gesturing to his attire, or well, lack of it. ]
Do I look like I know why I'm here in the first place?
[ An agitated sigh left his lips. Placing his hands on his hips and turning around, his back to the stranger. ]
Just, thank you, okay?

[ The Hound kept his hand resting on the pummel of his overly large sword, trailing at Will's feet to keep up the rear. ]
Don't worry. Didn't do it out of the goodness of my heart. Seems to me you worried a lot of people. Those people'll probably at least scrounge up something decent to drink if I get you back safe.
[ A lot of bluster so that Sandor Clegane could pretend as though he didn't do a damn thing for anyone else without a selfish motive behind it. Spoilers, he wasn't actually as bad as he pretended to be. ]
no subject
What people?... Look I hate to break it to you, but there's no one looking for me. I'm a nobody, a nothing, I have no one here that cares if I'm dead or alive...
[ He was still confused, a little misty in the thinking department. It was confusing and Will didn't care much for being confused. However, this guy did look pretty damn able. He should be thankful he came at all. ]
... Okay, okay... If you can get me back safely I'll scrounge you up something decent to drink.
[ He did have a bottle of bourbon stashed away in his apartment that he'd stolen from the bar when he arrived. He could let it go if it meant keeping the big guy in his good books. ]
no subject
Where exactly are we getting back to? Do you have a place you're sleeping or do I need to bring you back to my own until you get less lost in your head? Unless this whole thing's normal for you.
[ He gave a gesture to their surroundings. ]
no subject
[ Will was a secretive, twitchy little man, he'd prefer it if people here didn't become familiar with where he lived. Unannounced visits were the thing of nightmares as far as Will was concerned.
for fear of sounding a bit to ungrateful, Will sighed and shook his head. ]
Or you could just take me home and I could just not care about it, I suppose?...
[ A breath and a slight silent laugh under it. He wanted to say yes, that this was normal to him, but that might mean the brute leaving him here in the mist to dwell in confusing until the end of his days. ]
It's the fourth apartment block... I can't... I can't move too fast, though...
[ Raising a foot, then the other, letting the Hound see his bloody and bare feet, raw from walking all night. ]

[ It was difficult to imagine Sandor Clegane having a type at all, given that he was such an ugly man. You would figure he'd be a 'take what you can get' kind of guy. But he could not help but be drawn to pretty little birds or flowers of ladies. Women who would never ever give him the time of day.
Unrequited lusts until the end of time.
But he cocked his head toward Will's feet, and then he did what had to be done. He reached over and picked the guy up with ease, slinging him over his shoulder like a sack. ]
Two drinks for this fucking great service. [ Said with a grin. ]

[ Will was puzzled. His head swelled and swayed as his brains mangled themselves from overheating. It was hard to concentrate with a raging fever and sickness making you weak.
He was about to start walking, let the huge man lead the way, hopefully, they wouldn't come across whatever those shadows in the mist were. Will was just going to pass comment about why Sandor was so willing to come help a stranger when he was suddenly hauled up and tossed over a shoulder. ]
H-hey! P-put me down! This is ridiculous!
[ He's not beyond wriggling in an awkward discomfort. How ungraceful, how humiliating, how strong was this guy? ]
no subject
[ Sandor quipped in amusement, locking an arm around Will securely so the man wouldn't wriggle himself free and fall. Last thing he needed was to dress wounds that could have been avoided. ]
Let me know when things start lookin' familiar to you. So we can find your home nice and proper. What sorta place've you carved out for yourself here? One of those nicer ones with someone else? Or you livin' on your own?
no subject
[ It's instinct to wiggle about, he wants to be put down! But this man, this huge =, strong, scary man is far too strong for Will to overpower with just some struggling and shuffling. Sure, he could try and punch him, in the back of the head or his ear maybe?
The question about his house threw him off.]
What? No, I live alone- Er well, it's just me and Winston. And all I can see is your backside! And I definitely don't recognize that!
[ Well, that's what happens when you're tossed over someone's shoulder. ]
