The clinic will be running another round of first aid classes in the afternoons for the foreseeable future. Topics covered are as followed:

Basic first aid: cuts and scrapes, hygiene
Broken bones: diagnosis and stabilization
CPR
Burns
Illness I: common cold, respiratory infections, flu
Illness II: food poisoning, botulism, etc
Shock
Stab wounds, penetrating injuries
Infection and how to prevent it
Hypothermia/heatstroke/exposure
Magical injuries and healing

Further reminder that there are portable healing cells and first aid kits available from the clinic on request for anyone going into the caves. Clinic is near the colosseum, if you didn't know that already.

Lastly, anyone who is interested in helping out at the clinic can talk to myself or Dr. Banner. People with medical experience are especially useful.

No, not yet at least. I have personal reasons for not wanting to join yet. Once I'm ready, I'll be knocking at the door.

[It's on a mental level, really. He's been attached to the Minutemen since he was a teenager, joining anyone else feels like a betrayal.]

Things go south here often? I was around when those demons appeared. Almost got a friend of mine - that sort of thing just normal?

More often than the average, depending what your world's like.

Get more than just monsters. Just seems we had a lot of them lately.

It's a lot like home, actually. Monsters are pretty normal to see. The cave settlement is new though.

[Then again, there are stories about a settlement in a cavern made up entirely of children who survived the initial nuclear devastation.]

What else aside from monsters? Raiders? I hope people here aren't stirring up trouble among each other, but it happens.

Not been a lot of internal problems. ( God-directed mayhem, mistakes and heightened emotions, yes. But both of those seem like an age ago, now. And she hasn't noticed any massive conflicts, not beyond the usual disagreements anyone would expect from a bunch of strangers thrown in confined quarters, anyway. )

Most of it's against the gods.

( And while she was once on board with that, now it's gotten more complicated. Monsters are just monsters, except when they aren't. The gods are just enemies until it becomes even more clear that they're as lost as any of the people here. )

Gods. I've heard people talk about them, but... well never really believed in deities. Religion is mostly forgotten, unless you believe in nuclear gods.

What's your opinion on these Gods then?

Not sure god's the right word. Just the most concise.

( That's for sure. Everything she knows about the idea of religion and gods from back home, mostly school taught things, suggests infallibility as part of godhood. Omnipotence.

Things none of them seem to have. )

Otherwise they seem as varied as any of us.

Supernatural beings? Magic beings? Maybe just a bunch of wackjobs who have something to them we don't know about?

[The last one is in jest, mostly, but it seems to make as much sense.]

I guess it's just a matter of whatever the hell their motives are. Kind of a pain really - I can deal with monsters with no problem, but I have no clue what to do with these surprise deities.

Restore the rest of themselves, it sounds like.

( Whether they're going home after that is another story entirely. )
