Wow, time flies, huh? Hope says he's about ready to bring Love back, which is great. I'm looking forward to all of us being together again. Just doesn't feel right without everyone here, you know?

Anyway, you don't really get to pick which of us to bring back this time, but you should get a choice anyway. Makes being here a little less stressful, I hope. So we were talking, and it doesn't seem like any of you were that into the hot springs thing. How about a couple other options?

You could go for the hot springs, that'd be pretty nice. A place to chill out and relax or take your date, yeah? I'm thinking another fun option for dates would be a cafe - you know, like Delight's bar, but with food and less alcohol, more of an intimate atmosphere. Or maybe you guys could use some new housing, if you're starting to feel cramped. I bet Love could make something nice.

Suddenly don't feel all that disadvantaged arriving too late to get a vote on the gods. What a farce. If you wanted to give us any real control over our circumstances, this isn't how to do it.

How would you do it?

Pretending for the moment that you really have no control over your own technology and can't send us back, how about asking our permission to use us as walking batteries? Seems like there's plenty of people who'd be happy to go prostrate at your altars or whatever. I mean, did you plunge the previous inhabitants into bloody chaos every time one of you got a hankering for some emotions, too?

I think the others have told you guys this already, but we can't choose not to take power from your emotions. Whatever you feel gets passed on to us. It would be pretty helpful if you could make yourself feel things, but that doesn't seem to be how you work. So we help it along.

Robots, what you're looking for is robots. They could probably be programmed to simulate feelings at your command. Like vending machines for psychic leeches.

So you're always aware of what we're doing? Or is feeding on us a more passive process and you don't really give a toss about our day to day lives?

Nah, not robots.

It's more passive. We can be aware of what you're doing, if we want, but it's not usually worth the trouble. We've all got better stuff to do than watch your every move.

What's wrong with robots?

Oh really? I've heard one of you keeps the stores stocked and whatnot, but what do the rest of you even get up to? In between disasters, I mean.

Don't really get 'em.

We've each got our own stuff going on. Hope's been here the longest, except Fear - neither of them ever died. The rest of us are still mostly working on regaining our power.
