[There's a worry line creasing at Sorrow's forehead as he speaks. His voice is still as measured as ever, but there's still mounting tension in his posture, distress visible even though he's remaining as calm as he can.

The message still has a lot of static, but it's thankfully decipherable.]

Those of you with me, in the Eastern half of the city- we can't do much to help the others. Accept that. What we can do is make things easier for them and ourselves, should they return to us. Without Hope, we have limited resources, little light, and no option of revival, should you die.

[So that's pretty bad.]

Confusion is trying to keep the monsters in the caves but there's only so much she can do. Expect to see more of them flooding the city. If we want to ensure that Hope and Fear do not return to a destroyed city, we need to organize ourselves and avoid starvation and death as much as possible.

Some of you have already been organizing. I suggest you break off into groups- defense, hunting, food allocation. Tranquility's temple will likely be the most defensible, as it's between the armory and your clinic and has the river blocking one side. It would be prudent to set up barricades outside of the doors- I can supply you with materials for those.

[He pauses to let that sink in before continuing.]

Stalkers, Varren, and Wampa should be your prime animals to hunt, as they have a good source of meat and will be least likely to make you sick.

If there is anything else, I'll see to it.

In any case, if the Outsider is to come to an end here, then so be it; it is, after all, one of the many possible outcomes to this. ]

I will work on the barricades as it's unlikely a human could work as quickly or efficiently. [ He might as well help out, right? Yeah, guess so. Emily might scowl at him or berate him if he just sits around does his normal spook thing. ]

I'm assuming you won't be able to abandon the clinic and reallocate it into the temple. I know the lighting is poor, but I can offer you flares for lighting the path between the two locations... though it may attract a few of the creatures.

I've been talking about hunting with a couple other people. Mostly thinking about how to get food in everyone's hands once we have it, but if we need more people for hunting parties I don't have a problem volunteering.

I'm totally up for hunting. I've been fighting monsters in the caves since I got here with little to no problem. Don't see how this'll be any different.

Clinic's stocked enough in terms of medical products. Should have enough magical healing power too. Main concern is food.

( She doesn't know how she managed to inspire Hope during that game but right now she's incredibly glad for it. But the food that's here is a small stash of whatever was in the fridge and whatever was managed to be scavenged. )

Guessing you won't be able to fix that lack of light, then.

( Because they could do with something other than fire to help illuminate the place. )

Clinic staff: should have people stationed by Tranquility's temple as well as our building. Don't plan on having to rebuild this thing after we get through this. If you don't have an armband on already, come get one from the clinic.

( There's no time to talk like there's another option. They need to believe they'll get through it. It's the only way anyone's going to keep going. )

I have been hunting and fighting, and put the meat of edible creatures on sticks to be cooked over the campfire already. Perhaps the carcasses of the non-edible creatures could be used for a barricades in areas where no one will be eating or sleeping until they can be properly disposed of?

[It's not hygienic to have them around where people will be eating, but...might as well use what's available, right?]

If anyone knows how, the monsters' bones can be carved into weapons. Throwing daggers, darts... anything.

I'm setting up bonfires in our half of the city. Use any of 'em to cook! Just be careful not to get burned. It's, erm, really potent fire, different from normal.

I have a whole heap of dead varren to contribute.

From yesterday. They're probably still fresh enough to butcher and eat. [ And no doubt there'll be others. ]
