Yeah yeah. Don't go hugging me or anything.

[The weirdness of looking at someone whos gone all fuzzy is bad enough, he's not sure what that would feel like to touch. Not to mention he's a little worried that touching him might be bad for Noah. The Demon is not human, not alive, and his teleportation causes static interference. All things that seem like they wouldn't be good for a ghost.]

[Noah says this instead of responding to the thanks, letting it pass without acknowledgement so the Demon doesn't have to deal with more Feelings than he already has.

[The Demon grunts and looks down at himself. He's a fucking mess and even he can admit it.]

Hey it took me a long time to get this way. I call it patina.

[Noah laughs. Well, he makes a motion like he's laughing, but no sound comes out.]

Isn't patina what it's called when copper turns green?

[Noah makes a face at the 'rust' comment]

I'll start calling you the Tin Man if you do.

At least I don't think so. Pretty sure I would have by now if that was the case.

In any event, recycle me after my demise. Save the planet and all that.

[Noah laughs again - the motion of it while being absolutely soundless. He's been fading, slowly but surely, more the impression of Noah rather than Noah there in actuality now.

With what's left of him, he smiles, sincerely and full of relief, same as the whisper of his voice.]

I'm glad you're okay.

[It was draining, digging the Demon back up basically by himself. He'll be back later, once he's had time to recover. For now he's back to being nothing at all.]

[He grunts and lifts his head up to look at where Noah had been, but had apparently faded into nothing again. Well that's annoying.

Except for the part where now he doesn't have to respond to Noah acting like they're friends. Because they're not. The Demon doesn't have friends. That's a very human thing and he's not a human.

But he is going to just lay here for a while and recover his strength so he can teleport away and pretend none of this ever happened.]
