I am curious - there is no requirement for any to answer, but it would be appreciated. What are people's favorite form of weaponry? Mine is the sword, though I have experience with the bow.

{Maedhros just hasn't been able to use said bow for some time.

You would not be mistaken, as they do not exist on my world. I have learned of them since coming here some months past, though I have yet to learn to use one.

That's a shame. Of course it's also terribly that I don't have anything very good to show you. The best I've seen in anyone's hands around here is a sniper rifle. Definitely nothing fully automatic.

I would be interested in seeing one, should any arrive in the future. {More likely to destroy it, because anything that potentially destructive in the wrong hands is not a good thing.}

The sword and shield are my preference. You joined the Guard, did you not?

I did, yes. Perhaps we should spar at some point.

Sure. Monsters tend to not need much else.

There are knives and swords here. I like those too. [And they don't require ammo. She carries a few on her at all times. ]

That does seem fairly common as well. {But the loss of ammunition to make such weaponry work would grate on Maedhros' nerves.}

Have you worked much with blades?

I know how to use them, if that's what you mean. [Her voice is serious.]

I have made harps, but I will need to know the size and any details you desire. (Can Maedhros tell his mind is already seizing on the opportunity?)

That is not a problem. It should be one he can keep with him if he wishes.

Smaller, then, but no less lovely than the large ones. (He is on this!) The strings cannot be silver, sadly, but I will make sure they are sweet.

I'm good with daggers. Got one from the world I was in before, actually. Pretty trusty little thing.

Ah, yeah, I came from... a place called Haven. I was there for a couple years before ending up in Hadriel.

My preferred weapon is the lance. It's the best overall weapon for my fighting style, and the one I have the most experience with, although I know the basics for swords and axes as well.

{There is quiet approval in the Elf's voice, and a lack of condescension.} It is good that you have found the best weapon for your style, though also that you are flexible enough to take up others as needed.

Yes... it's a regular part of our training back home, to learn multiple weapons, but then specialize in one more thoroughly, depending on what we choose to do. I became a dragoon, so the lance is a natural fit for me.

I only know how to use a handgun, so that's my favourite, I guess. But I was taught how to use my fists too - punching and stuff. I like that too. [ Even though he's not very good at it. ]

Would you be interested in learning more? {It bugs Maedhros to know there are those here who shouldn't be fighting, or are limited! And someone so young!}
