Heya, guys. I'm sure a few of you um, already know what I'm gonna say.

[Chris definitely doesn't look as cheery as usual, but also not terribly upset; mostly he just seems a little drained, but otherwise calm enough.]

Em's uh... Emily's gone. So I guess I'm gonna have to take over for her in the 'telling people like it is' department, and I'd add like, the 'being right' one but I'm already right at least as often as she is. However, I'm totally not doing the sewing or getting up early to run the coffee cart parts. Gonna need other people to step in on those.

[And okay, joking aside, he takes a deep breath and continues.]

I know um, I know a lot of people here knew her, but not necessarily much about uh... What we're going back to, at home, since I don't think she talked about it much. So if anyone has any questions about that, I can probably answer, and hopefully that'll make things... You know. A little easier?

[Worrying about what people are returning to is usually the hardest part on him, when someone leaves, after all. Oh, and one more thing--]

Wolfie's still here, by the way. So no one freak if you see him with me; as Em always said, he only bites if you're an asshole.

[He offers a small smile.]

Thanks, but um... It'll be okay. I'll see you at the shop soon.

[And as promised, he'll show up pretty quickly, Wolfie trotting along nearby.]

[Anne was waiting by the time he arrived, standing next to the door as she watched him approach.]

You must be Chris then.

[She offered him a warm smile, bowing her head slightly.] I appreciate you entrusting me with Emily's shop.

[Chris is a little surprised when he sees her, mostly because she reminds him a whole lot of his girlfriend Ashley; same general face shape, even similar height. But he soon smiles too, giving a small wave.]

Hey, yeah, I'm Chris. And no big deal; I'm just glad someone wants to keep it up. Em really worked hard on getting it all together and going.

It is a pleasure, Chris. [She had been working on being less formal here, though it was still a hard habit to break.]

I'm happy I can keep it going. Tranquility owes me a favor so I'm hoping to use that to make some improvements if I'm able to.

Oh, yeah, I never asked Tranquility for my prize either.

[He kind of forgot about it, actually; he needs to check in with Cashmere and see how her attempts to get a computer have been going before he does anything, though.

Oh, and the whole point of this meeting, before he gets distracted--]

Here are the keys; at least, I'm pretty sure these are the right ones.

[What else would Emily have this for, if not? He holds them out for Anne to take, and Wolfie watches the motion and then yawns. Boring.]

[She took the keys before trying them in the door to make sure they worked. The door swung open and she stepped inside, looking around before turning back to Chris.]

I am glad that I can keep this shop going, it's such a lovely place.

Thanks, and um, let me know if you need anything.

[Like stuff moved, or whatever; he's utterly useless at the actual sewing part, unfortunately.]

It is pretty cool, and I know Em had uh... A lot of business. Even though people were always bitching at her about her priorities.

[But Emily never wavered, and she was right not to.]

I will, thank you. [She gave Chris a smile, nodding.]

I am glad I was able to meet her, in the brief time I knew her here. She seemed like a remarkable woman.

Yeah, she's uh... She's something.

[Despite the vague descriptor, Chris' voice is obviously fond and he elaborates a bit more after a few seconds.]

We've known each other like, most of school, and she's pretty badass.

[Anne smiled at hearing that fondness, nodding.]

I hope that you are able to see her when you return home then.

Thanks. I should, though uh... It might be kind of weird for awhile.

[Because of everything that just happened, but hopefully they'll work it out.]

I um... I guess I should let you get to taking over the place. I'll see you around, okay?

I hope to see you soon, Chris, thank you again. [she paused by the door before looking bak at him.] You are welcome to stop by anytime you wish.

Thanks. And let me know if you want coffee or something, and I'll make a stop in.

[He doesn't have a lot of reason to go to the sewing shop normally, but he'll still keep it in mind and is definitely willing to deliver coffee.]

[She gave a polite bow, giving him a warm smile before venturing into the shop to see what needed to be done. ]
