I'm looking for a friend of mine. They went missing four days ago but they're still in the phonebook. So they're still here, right?
Their name is Chara. They're a kid like me, with brown hair and red eyes. They have a green sweater with a big yellow stripe on it. If you see them please tell me.
Chara if you read this
Please come home.

[It beggars belief that Asgore could have failed to notice Chara was gone for four days, so he's been out looking! In Silent Hill! Without Frisk, because god no we're not doing that again]
Voice
[They're actually...kind of glad he went without them. After what they'd seen there with Asriel, they're not so keen to revisit that location a third time.]
Um, I'm going to look around the lake. Someone asked if they got lost in the caves...
no subject
[He can handle whatever dangers they pose well enough, and there are enough safe spaces for Frisk to check that they should not have to choose between going into danger and sitting at home feeling useless. Asgore is sure they would feel that way.]
no subject
[And if two people are looking there, it'd probably be a waste to make a third.]
I'll...keep looking at the lake. And the orchard.
Maybe they came home?
no subject
[He's not sure they can spare anyone to wait there just yet - Chara would know to stay there until someone returned if that was what happened, wouldn't they?]
I will ask Sans to do it. [Because he can get there and be gone quickest, and he is not sure either he or Frisk wants to deal with the feeling of opening that door and finding no one home.]
no subject
[And their thoughts...might be straying in the same direction as his own. They don't know if they want to go back right now, with another person missing who shouldn't be.
Chara wasn't as loud as Asriel, but their absence spoke volumes.]
If I see them, I'll tell you.

no subject
[It really does, despite everything. Despite what stands between them. He has rarely been entirely alone with Frisk before now, but...well. He probably needed to work on that anyway.
At least they do not seem afraid of him.]
