[ Eleanor hadn't been in the underground City for long. It only felt like a few weeks at most, still, she was struggling to find her feet. Having yet to claim any accommodation for herself, sleeping rough in whatever abandoned building she stumbled upon. She was a slim girl, tall for her age and with a mind well beyond it too! Snacking on whatever cans and dried meats she could find, she'd managed to keep herself alive at least.
The building she'd been staying in had become dangerously waterlogged, well, dangerous for anyone else that was. Eleanor was well equipt for life underwater, her suit kept her dry for the most part and the huge, domed helmet had a valve in it, making it easy to breathe naturally while submerged. Honestly, she felt more at home in the dank little puddle she'd been sleeping in.
Emerging from the shadows, like something from one of the many tunnels that riddled the cave, Eleanor finally thought to us the communication device she'd found on her person upon arrival. Not thinking to look through the contacts, she'd never seen a phone like this before after all. No, she was more interested in using the screen as a light. It especially lit up when she pressed [REC◉]? ]
Alright, that should about do it, I think. Though, I should think it rather silly to be so hopeful... Sigh~
[ Standing up, the camera feed filming the floor rather than her face. Eleanor had made a small doll out of scraps of fabric, rope and one of those creepy finger puppet heads, she'd left it propped up against a glass container filled with a strange, forigen, red fluid. A chicken scrawl message written in monster blood and a few doodles of the sun. The message read- ]
[ Her voice was well spoken, with a kind of posh hint to it. English perhaps? She flipped the phone over, showing the green glowing portlight-like window of her helmet. A little battle damaged by now. Fumbling with her phone as she tried to turn it off. ]
Not at all like the mechanical audio diaries I remember. I wonder... Are you too, made of bits and bobs? Shall I take you apart and find out?

Are you implying that mysterious or supernatural forces are behind its ability to broadcast, rather than bits, bobs, and circuit boards?
[ she scoffed a small laugh, not intending to be rude, just finding it rather amusing. ]
video;
It's less implying and more informing, but yeah. I think it was Hope that gave us the phones for long distance communication in an attempt to appease us, I'm sure. If you take it apart and accidentally break it, you'll be shit out of luck unless you're willing to ask Hope for another one.
So, I don't know, be careful with it.

Seeing a girl on the other end, one that seemed almost fully grown up, was such a shock to Eleanor. She was used to being the oldest out of her and her Little Sisters, so this was something else. ]
If you are hoping for something here, it is granted to you? Is that what you're saying?
[ She'd yet to find out the Gods and their names, Eleanor was far too busy trying to get in contact with her father and see if there were any Little Sisters in trouble anywhere. ]
I'll have you know, I could possibly make this device work even better than currently, it is... But very well, I shan't mess around with it too much.
video;
I'm guessing you haven't read the guide yet, huh? [ That will be followed up with a quick text that links to Mello's guide ]
video;
No, indeed I have not, but I shall now. Thank you.
[ Receiving the text and quickly reading through its link. Eleanor is fast at learning and absorbed the information with great speed and understanding. ]
How interesting. Still, I think perhaps my tinkering wouldn't damage this device all that much. As it seems, others have added a variety and might I say pointless additions to it already.
[ She was talking about the games and emotes she'd found in the settings of the network now. Things she'd never seen or heard of until now. ]
video;
Look, you do you. Play with it to your hearts content, just try not to fuck it up.
video;
Another thing, if you don't mind? Where exactly are you from?
[ She could sense the girl was no longer interested in giving her advice or talking about the phone device, but she couldn't let her go without investigating her accent. ]

Earth, January 12th, 2011. I was born in the US and spent my life traveling. [ aka: on the run, but whatever.] Why?
