While I am not one to answer to the call of self proclaimed deities, I do think it within our best interest to oblige Hope's request. That is, if he is unable to keep such beasts adequately at bay, there are scarce other options to which we may yet turn to.

[And while that may have come out a little somber at the start, Haurchefant is quick to pep up! Smiling as he gestures with his hands as he speaks.]

With that said, I say the best course of action would be to form small groups of capable warriors and to fell what beasts we can around the city's perimeter. T'would prove beneficial to not only Hope, but to each of us! If we may be able to prevent a larger catastrophe through this end, then I say we should embark down this path!

Who of you are with me? Of course, those of you who are not quite so skilled with combat need not feel pressured to join. Scant do I wish to endanger any who might not be capable against such horrid beasts.

Come my friends, and together we may yet preserve what peace we are yet able within this city!

[The most notable thing about Henry is that he is properly armoured: his gorget, chest plate, left pauldron and mail are all visible in his feed. His expression is focused and his bearing holds an innate confidence.

The prospect of battle is evidently commonplace for him.

Though his speech is refined, there is an underlying sharpness to his voice when he speaks.]

I shall heed thy call to arms. Though perhaps you should impress the folly of overly esteeming one's prowess with less tact.

[Haurchefant knows the look of a seasoned warrior, and he definitely has it!]

Ah—! Splendid, my friend! I am sure yours will be a help sorely needed in this time.

[Though, his smile falters just a touch at the second part.]

I beg pardon? I see of no reason to be tactless when addressing such topics, the grim nature of this endeavor well speaks for itself.

[He tilts his head at the way that smile falters, and sighs.]

I said not without tact entirely. But will some regard it as a challenge to prove their questioned worth, without firm discouragement?

[He tends towards being too hard, a fact of which he is self-aware, though it's not his intention to hurt morale.]

I see that you are a kind --[there is a slight pause, because he was going to say man, but those strange ears]-- one. 'Twas merely a thought. Pay it no mind.

Those who see such words as a personal challenge will see a challenge where there is not regardless of what I say, or how I say it, I'm afraid. If those who do seek to join me, I am more than capable of singling out those who are clearly not made for battle. I have trained many over-zealous knights in my time as a garrison commander, and to that end, I have learned to keep a watchful eye out for the wreckless.

[Haurchefant smiles warmly at him.]

Worry not, friend, your suggestion is not ignored, and your thoughts are not so readily discarded. Your concern is warming, and welcomed, even if we may not see eye to eye on the matter.

[Henry nods in acknowledgement -- that experience, more than anything, reassures him.

He has not forgotten the pressing matter at hand, but first he asks:]

Served you ever as an ambassador?

[Haurchefant pauses at the question—more of surprise than anything else.]

Nay, I have been only a knight and commander. For why do you ask?

You evidently have a talent for speech, and a pacifying manner. Your status as a knight is sufficiently high.

[He is simply wondering where that natural ease as an orator comes from -- though he won't say as much. He makes a dismissive gesture with his free hand.]

To the task afore us?

'Tis the result of leading men for many years—as well as playing host to myriad adventurers, is all.

[Haurchefant doesn't honestly give himself enough credit, his patience is boundless, and he knows well how to chart a conversation. He just so happens to have a way with words.]

Aye, of course. I do suppose settling on a point of rendezvous would be best—let us meet at the Colosseum. From there we can group together with the others who hearken to my call to arms.

[Henry has no objections, nor, perhaps, any intention to make further small talk. However, he supposes he should do one thing before leaving and that is introduce himself.]

My name is Henry Percy. [It's obvious that they're from different worlds, so he adds:] A knight of England.

I can help. I was on the village Watch rotation back in Demeleier.

[She might look like just a girl, but Chie is actually much stronger than she seems.]

[Haurchefant knows well not to judge merely by appearances, but he is a bit wary with how young she looks all the same.]

I trust you are right capable in battle, my lady?

[Watch rotation or not, a lookout is a bit different than a straight up warrior. And these are some horrible monsters to be dealing with to boot.]

[Chie laugh nervously; she's never been addressed as my lady before.]

Yeah, don't worry about me! I've fought lots of monsters before, I promise.

[Haurchefant offers her a warm smile at her laughing. Sorry Chie, you better get used to it! Haurchefant is polite if anything.]

I will take your word for it, and your help will be doubtlessly appreciated.

However, do be sure to not take on more than you can handle. There is nothing to be gained to rush in blindly, nor to take on far more than one is able.

[He says, but he intends to do just that. It's different when it's other people, tho!!]

[One thing about Chie is she wears her heart on her sleeve - or, to be more accurate, exactly what she's feeling right on her face. Her smile fades a little; she's definitely done her share of rushing into a fight she wasn't equipped to handle, and she's paid a hefty price, in some instances.]

I'll be careful. I promise! You can count on me.

I've a sword and shield to add to your number. I've also been made familiar with too many traps and tricks in the past - let's make sure we aren't leaving the city defenseless should all the warriors head into the caves. Some should stay behind.

Though you have the right of it. Scant do we need to leave the city unguarded, full sure am I that some will yet remain behind. Not all whom are capable in battle necessarily seek it—so whilst I most certainly wish to garner the aids of capable individuals, 'tis not my intent to draw them all out of the city proper.

[He talks fancy - fancy enough that were it not for the elf ears Rainier might have been more of a stick in the mud. Elves didn't get a good draw, socially speaking, in his world... even if this guy does sound like Nobility.]</small. Where should we meet up?

[As it is, he is actually nobility! Which greatly explains his diction.]

I have set the point of rendezvous to be the Colosseum. We shall group up there, and then decide upon our next move.

[A man of few words himself, he leaves it at that before getting armored up and heading out to meet up.]

[The speech was a little over the top in Rishfee's opinion, but from what little he knew about the elvaan it seemed per the usual. That aside, reducing the monster population in general seemed to be the best course of action.

With a small wave to the camera he spoke.]

You have my strength should you need it.

[Haurchefant is indeed a bit over the top. It's just in his nature, waxing lyrical about the simplest of things. What's an enthusiastic elezen to do?]

Doubtlessly I will, thank you my friend.

[He pauses for a moment, smiling softly.]

You have done much and more to aid me, I will be sure to repay such a debt if you ever need mine aid.

[Sounds like a personal problem, Haurchefant. Maybe you just need a creative outlet for all that enthusiasm...]

Oh, think nothing of it. Not everyone agrees, but we may as well help each other out here.

[Rishfee waved his hands dismissively at Haurchefant's reply. That elvaan was way too formal sometimes. Still though, the sentiment was appreciated.]

Just let me know when it's time for this monster hunting party and I'll be there.

Aye, that we should! If we are to survive this world, we won't do it not working together!

[How he loves when people agree to work together for the greater good. It still baffles him how some might think themselves better off alone, especially in a dangerous world such as this... 'Tis a right folly.]

I had figured we may as well start immediately—or rather, as soon as everyone arrives. I set the rendezvous point at the Colosseum, a place you are well familiar with, I'm sure.

[He's used to working together, mainly with fellow Immortals but there is nothing wrong with getting aid from mercenaries from time to time. It gets the job done. He nodded though in agreement.]

Hah, yes I'm well familiar with the Colosseum. There are a few things I need to prepare, but I will be sure to meet you there soon.

[Brb shuffling his equipped Blue Magic around.]

Splendid! I am sure others will be making their own preparations before our skirmish, so do not feel rushed.

[he smiles widely.]

Little would I prefer your haste if it meant you'd be ill prepared for the battle ahead!

No worries, this won't take long at all.

[With Haurchefant's smile, Rishfee can't help but smile back. It's a little lost with the veil but still noticeable. Seriously, what a strange elf man.]

[Strange, yes, but a good guy at least!]
