need help constructing a hydroelectric power station.

anyone with engineering experience is helpful but not necessary - already have an idea on how to assemble a home brewed setup. mostly just need assistance with supplies and manpower.

the less we have to rely on hope to keep this place running the better.

need some time to finalize some of the planning but sooner is preferable to later before the next big thing happens - whatever it is. shit always hits the fan at some point.

And unfortunately, you can't depend on just anyone to fix it when it does.

not usually a fan of depending on ANYONE, but this isn't really a one-person job for both setup and upkeep.

Everyone has their limits, and it doesn't hurt to know who you can count on when you reach yours.

As I said, I'm no engineer, but I'm betting we're not the only ones around who can help with this project.

whether it's true or not that this hope really is supplying this whole city with power, he was the one who seemed keen on the idea, so
think this is on the right track.

Given he was complaining out us being exhausting just days ago, I can see why he would be warm to the idea. It's less work for him to do.

less work for him and more self-sufficiency for us. think it's a fair trade all things considered.

I agree. Can't say he's much of a benevolent god when letting people starve is on the table.

My thoughts exactly. And I assume he's supposed to be the 'good one' out of the ones we're having to deal with.

with names like hope, rage, and fear, would've assumed them all to be swell individuals.

I'd wager they're not the only charming individuals like themselves out there. Want to take bets on how long it'll be until we meet one named Sadness? Maybe Envy, Delusion, or Apathy.

what, there's more of them out there? thought we'd just be stuck with the three and they seem bad enough.

I can't say that for certain, but I wouldn't be shocked by it, given the surprises this place has had for us already.

Sounds like you've got a busy life back home.

"busy" is certainly one way of putting it.

We've all got something we left behind. I can't say my situation was ideal, but it was home.

can't really miss home all that much when it wasn't much of a home to begin with. suppose this locale isn't that much different.

What's not different, the part where we're trapped in a cave, or the part where some gods who think it's fine to starve people are running the show?

just spent the last few months in an underground city. suppose it was a lot homier than this one though.

I spent the last two weeks before coming here in an underground vault. Can't say that being held hostage in a single room was any better than this, but it's not as though the world I come from is a pretty picture to begin with.

For doing my job. I'd been hired to find a kidnapped daughter. As it turns out, she wasn't kidnapped at all. Her new boyfriend was a triggerman, a gangster named Skinny Malone.
