[Seel looks kind of pathetic. In the backdrop was an organized mess. Like he'd been trying to make meals and take care of a living space, but the last time he had to do that he'd barely begun puberty. Taking care of himself was not one of his many skills. The can or two in view of the camera might have been something edible. It might also have been cat food.]

I can't take care of myself. I need help.

[She grew up with a great deal of wealth and privilege as a noble, and still, she'd always prized self-sufficiency. To the point that every time she was angry with her father, she'd made a point of learning something he'd deem servant's work. It's helped her in the long run.

Has anyone explained how the appliances in your home work as of yet? They take some getting used to, but they do make things more convenient.

[Rydia has troubles herself with the strange stuff in her own house but between washing her clothes in the river and at least learning the basics in the kitchen she... managed.]

Ikaruga had a lot more going for her than Seel did. When he first struck out on his own, he had someone with him to take care of the house and cooking. Granted there might have been a slight miscommunication about that, Flick thought they were rather close, and Seel thought he was a glorified servant. Then, Seel got married, and there were more servants. He'd never had to learn how to take care of himself. Why should he. There were always someone willing to help out and do it for him.]

No, I can't say they have. If you'd be able to explain what it does and how to work it that would certainly help.

[Although really, he'd appreciate it more if someone would just do it for him.]

Seel glared at him, which he couldn't see, caught between anger and sadness and tried to figure out what he wanted to say. In the end, he ended the call.]

I want to thank you for looking after Seel. I can't do so right now. If you want fresh ingredients to cook, you can come pick up vegetables from my garden. That's what he's gotten used to.

[ He isn't ready to forgive the other har, but he doesn't want him to starve either. ]

It's okay, if you tell me where to go I will clean the building, maybe you can follow me and learn in the meanwhile? Royalty or not we're supposed to know how to take care of ourselves here.

[Ahh she picked up on that did she? Calling himself royalty wasn't something he was used to, but he supposed he was in the grand scheme of things. When you were Consort to the Autarch of an entire continent, that did have certain connotations. Nobility maybe. Royalty left an uncomfortable taste in his mouth.]

I don't suppose I have much of a choice.

We can start with the cooking appliances. The smaller one that is apparently called a microwave can cook things the fastest. It also has a button that can freeze food, which can be convenient for preserving it for a later date.

[She's just going to walk over to where her appliances are and turn the video from her device to the buttons, finger pointing at each one as she explains.]

This is the one for freezing, and this is the one for heating. Most things require no more than a few minutes to heat up. Ah...and make sure not to put metal in it. I've been told that can break the microwave and be a safety hazard.

[It was more an assumption on her part between his drama filed post and... this one.]

I don't think so, not many people will volunteer to clear after you in here. I promise it's not as hard as it seems.

That's a microwave? [Seel looked dubious. He remembered those from when he was been human. Like 50 years ago.That did not look like a microwave.] I don't remember microwaves being able to freeze food.

[He had to smile at the metal warning. That much he remembered, having done it on purpose a couple times when he was younger.] Thanks. I won't do that.

Does this place happen to have like frozen meals or just canned stuff you actually have to put together? [cause actually making food? That might be a challenge.]
