Mmm...

[He's a mess and it shows. In the era he's from this kind of blasphemy could ruin a good noble's reputation but it was not like he had a good one in this forsaken underground cavern. The small bags of chips, wrappers of assorted candy bars and empty bottles of both glass and plastic that likely smelled of vodka and collected booze littered around showed he hadn't moved from that spot in a while. A week to be exact. He's worn the same clothes a few days in a row and had only left once to dump himself into the lake for a haphazard wash of them. He hasn't been home. He doesn't want to go back.

Tyki might be a dangerous and overpowered person but he was very much still a man. A family man to be precise. This last little 'event' actually hit him rather hard for once.]

Genocide is one of the most effective routes to obtain something. Not without consequences, mind you, but still effective. To erase an entire town, village, nation or species can affect an entire group of another town, village, nation or species.

It's easy. It's simple. Not as hard as other ways of doing things. [From where he is laying flat on his back he's not looking at the phone but down at the city with his hand unfolding from his stomach to stretch out and face a building or two.] There's not much many of you could do to stop a genocide. It would take one blast to remove a group of houses. Another to ensure it was successful. One cut of a person to severe an entire family. One memory stolen to change someone's life forever.

I hope they are happy as they suckle on my sorrow and cherished love I gave to my loved ones while they were here. I hope they are drinking deep of my rage or my blissful confusion. Just remember it takes just one push to send someone to the edge. I can still do it. I'm still considering it. I'm still angry.

Without this city's inhabitants, you'd have nothing to feed on. You'd exhaust yourself bringing them back. Sure, the Door can bring more. They can come back. But how long until you wither up and die.

[He's up high given the angle of the camera from his phone. It's propped up enough to show his location if anyone could pinpoint the view from Spire #3. For someone like him it didn't take much to find a crook in the polished stone or a curve to lay against in the oddly shaped spire. A normal man would have to climb or find a window or hole to ease their way out of.

Despite his mood company is highly welcomed even if he'll be a little sour. The mere fact he isn't grinning or smiling like he always is can ascertain something is wrong. He's rather serious and taunting nor will he apologize.]

[She'd tried to persuade him to come down from his perch a couple of days ago and been unsuccessful. Now she's well-meaning, but considerably more firm about it.

She understands that he doesn't want to be home since he's associating it with his family, but enough is enough.]

Come down from there. You can stay in a guest bedroom in my house as long as you need. You needn't go home first. I will get some of your clothes for you.

[He can hear that tone. Be thankful he turned video back on even if he shouldn't. Right now he's utter trash and he'll lift his hand to push his hair back just to show more of his face. At least he's able to keep his glamour up.

Hrm, hrm. So firm and demanding. She'd made a fine wife for him.]

I suppose I should. I've completely exhausted my food supply at the moment. Well, what isn't in my house.

Then come over and wash up. I will set out a large towel for you in the bathroom. By the time you've finished in the shower, I should be back with clean clothing to change into. Showering and changing your clothing will make you feel better, if only a little.

[Enough to not talk about small scale genocide over the network as a possibility, at least.]

Is that a request or an order, my lady? [He's not angry at her anymore. He's had a lot of time to thing. There is a small bit of playfulness to his tone but it's barely there.]

A shower does seem like a good idea. I'll be right over.

[A mischievous smile crosses her face at that.]

An order, my lord. Until you've had a shower, a proper meal, and a good night's sleep, you're simply going to have to do whatever I say.

[They both know he'll ultimately just do whatever he wants, but if he's going to hand her an opportunity like that...well. She's going to seize it and have some fun with it.]

[He's in no position to object given how poor and unnoble he looks. It was a little pitiful he had drawn himself to that state.]

Shockingly, good chaperones are hard to find in small cave towns where the residents are from many different worlds. I will have to trust that you will be a gentleman and not take advantage of how naive and fragile I am.

My good lady. I come from a very prestigious family where there is absolutely, and I mean, absolutely, nothing corrupt about us. Why would I ever take advantage of such a woman?

Then there's no impropriety to worry about, is there? Only what other people might say. I would offer suggestions on where they should stick their opinions, but that would definitely be improper.

[Guild life has given her a rather robust vocabulary when it comes to obscenities and other inappropriate language. She just chooses not to employ that part of her vocabulary.]

[He took a little sky walk and he's already outside her door.] Shall I let myself in or are you going to invite me in yourself?

[She's noticed movement in the background as they've been talking, but hadn't realized how close he was getting to her house. There's a brief blur in her video as she moves to open the door.]

How punctual.

[For her he always did. Once he's allowed inside he'll take a step in and glance around. He doesn't know what he is looking for anymore. People maybe. Friends. Ah, he liked her friends.]

The bathroom is all ready for you.

[She motions to her bathroom, offering a small bit of guidance since he's not in great shape. She's set out two towels, one large, one smaller, both quite fluffy and soft. She stocked up when Love first arrived and provided all the self-care items.]

I should be back with your clothing by the time you've finished, but if not, you may use my bathrobe.

[Mercifully, it's mostly black save for a pink flower on each of the two pockets and nearly down to her ankles, so while it wouldn't be an ideal fit on him, it's not as embarrassing as it could be.]

[He has to think about that as he starts to take his smelly self to the bathroom now and exfoliate with whatever she has.] One of my large pillows. The lush one near the forefront of my bed. It's my favorite.

[It'll be obvious because it'll be almost body sized and fluffy. He just kind of hates how it is pink.] You want me naked in your robe that badly?

[She chuckles a little at that. It's good that he's starting to sound a little like his old self.]

Merely a courtesy, my dear Lord Tyki. If I had improper intentions regarding you being nude, I would have neglected to leave a robe and would only have left you with a small towel for coverage.

[He's trying to regain what smile he can around her. She was important to him.]

I could always pretend like you didn't mention anything about your robe or pretend I didn't see it? [He's already unbuttoning his shirt at least as he pads his way towards it and discards his shoes on the inside as not to dirty the floors.]

You could, but the hot springs would be a far better place to spend time without clothing on.

[Or at least she thinks it would help with relaxing some of the aches that he no doubt feels after sleeping in an uncomfortable position with no pillows.]

[And in a blink of an eye, the front door to her house is closed and she's already gone to retrieve his clothing.]

I couldn't agree with you more but the privacy is not nearly as given as it would be here.

[But he lets her leave after he's dismissed and he'll wander into the bathroom and slide into that hot tub after folding his dirty clothes and putting it to the side with the ends tucked in. He can wash those later.

He won't get to play with the robe as she will return before he gets to it. He likes to soak and will ease out all his muscles and relax.]

[She's quick about it, but not haphazard. She ensures that the outfits she grabs match, and remembers to take appropriate accessories, as well as his personal grooming and hygiene supplies.

She sets down most of his things in the bedroom next to hers, then knocks at the bathroom door to announce her return.]

Your things are in the bedroom beside mine. I'm going to start preparing a meal. Join me once you are dressed.

[He lifts his head when she knocks because he might've dozed off a little in the meantime and he'll glance at his fingers as water drips from them. He's half tempted to stay in the water for a bit longer but he's hauling himself out and reaching for that towel set.

It'll take him a little longer until he comes out of the bathroom and makes his way to the bedroom to get dressed. He totally used a towel to make his way across. She's in the kitchen anyways. He follows the seam of his clothes to smooth them. He presses his hands flat to his face to smooth out the wear and tear of sleeping awkwardly and he fixes his hair and makes himself presentable before heading out to the kitchen.]

Hmm. I can't say I am not hungry.

[She's been browning the meat in a frying pan, so that all of it can go and boil in a stew once the meat and vegetables are ready. She wants to cook something that's easy and yet tasty and nutritious today.]

Here. Chop some vegetables while I prepare the stewing sauce.

[One of these days, she'll teach him to cook. It's a life skill that everyone should have. But today is not that day. Today he's just recovering from his self-imposed semi-exile from civilization, so she'll only direct him to chop up some of the vegetables to speed along the preparation of the meal a bit.]

[It smells delicious and he could use something hearty and better suited to put him to sleep. Usually he'd just lie on the couch and wait for food but he hates to admit he's gotten good at chopping vegetables. She always makes him participate and he doesn't mind anymore.]

[He's not that good with a knife in combat. The mere fact he never threw a punch without dark matter laced around his hands told the careful eye that he used his legs and agility to get around. Yet here he was cutting vegetables with those deft and skilled hands of his.]

[She excells with bladed weapons in combat. Not only swords, but knives as well. Really, she could get all the chopping done very quickly herself, but she wants Tyki to help and keep her company. She may keep her hands moisturized and well tended to, but there are still some minor calluses in very specific places on her hands. Places that indicate that she's spent a large amount of time holding some sort of blade over the years.

She mixes the sauce with a cheerful hum.]

You're looking much better, my lord. I was getting worried before.

[Even without his power he was rather good at hand to hand combat. He could persist even if he suddenly lost his powers. He's quick as hell even without his Noah strength and speed. He did like holding those hands with the stories they told.

He uses the knife to push the vegetables aside when he's done with one set and moves onto the next.]

I have been told I clean up nicely. I could use a bit more sleep but for now I think I can stand. My apologies for making you worry.

[She still remembers how handsome he looked in his ball attire quite fondly.]
