His power can damage a lot of things; he could even bring down buildings. So instead of letting his abilities run wild, he is meditating, his eyes closed tightly, his legs crossed and his mouth set in a stubborn line.]

...this never works.

[His eyes open, as blue as the sky, and he lets out a harsh breath.]

Anyone know any techniques? [Behind him, a metal pole begins to warp. He glances back and stretches out a hand, trying to undo the damage.] I guess I'm going to have to sleep outside tonight.

I usually don't mind the horrors of this place. In fact, I pride myself on not minding. But damned Hadriel got into my head and handed me my cousin Finrod back again. It didn't end well.

And yourself, Anakin? Why can't you sleep?

No, but it feels like it is my fault. [ The real Finrod will never know, that is true. But that just makes it worse for Curufin. ]

You did, did you? More than one ghost? [ He remembers their earlier conversation. Heaven help Anakin if he had to kill those he loved in order to stay alive! -- or if he died to avoid having to do so. ]

No. I don't suppose it did. It didn't help me, either. When Maedhros and Fingon died. [ Even when you know that people will return, it is still an assault on your heart when they die. ] You care for my brother. It must have been hard.

[Luke hasn't learned much about his father over the years, but he knows Anakin had a temper and was reckless at times. It must have been that anger that fueled Vader, though. He knows it can be frightening at times...he just hopes he never sees it here. He imagines he got enough of his mother in him to avoid similar things. Well, there was Bespin, but...]

I could try to help you. I can understand that it's not always easy to calm down at times.

That's normal. [It sucks and there is little that can be done about that feeling. He's tired of feeling it himself.]

[Both condemned him of being a monster. He had died - after luring the ghosts away from the house. How could he have lifted a hand against them?]

He understands me. He has seen me at my worst and...he hasn't run or made me feel...inferior. [For that alone, he adores Maedhros.] I wish I could protect him.

Then it is possible that what actually troubles you is more serious than issues with meditation.

Though even if it isn't you shouldn't skip meals, that sort of behavior will only exacerbate your mood.

Millicent would chase the mouse droids on my star destroyer, it kept her occupied while I was working. We don't have mouse droids here but using the Force would be the best alternative.
