[Against all odds, Anakin is trying to keep himself calm and collected. He has had plenty to upset and anger him lately and, really, that isn't good for anyone. His power can damage a lot of things; he could even bring down buildings. So instead of letting his abilities run wild, he is meditating, his eyes closed tightly, his legs crossed and his mouth set in a stubborn line.]

...this never works.

[His eyes open, as blue as the sky, and he lets out a harsh breath.]

Anyone know any techniques? [Behind him, a metal pole begins to warp. He glances back and stretches out a hand, trying to undo the damage.] I guess I'm going to have to sleep outside tonight.

[He stretches out his legs with a groan.]

...huh. That's...cute. [A little too cute. He can see them pawing at the toys now.]

[Hux isn't going to discuss these projects out in public after all.]

Millicent would chase the mouse droids on my star destroyer, it kept her occupied while I was working. We don't have mouse droids here but using the Force would be the best alternative.

[He holds his communicator in his mouth as he swings down from the roof. The Force breaks his fall and soon he is letting himself inside.]

Hux? Hey there, Eclipse. [The grey cat hops into his arms, earning a grin.]

[Hux had been spent the day at home, at the kitchen table working while in his slippers. He wasn't used to working with pen and paper but it was what was available here.

He found it relaxing lately, drawing out designs for things he would most likely never able to build. But some were for things he did have every intention of putting together if he could.]

There is some warm coffee left if you want some.

[He rolled out one of the sheets while Anakin settled in, scooting the yellow cat with large eye off of the table so he could see better.] Ravager, go play with Executor.

[Anakin approaches the table, Eclipse perched on his shoulder, tail swishing contentedly. He glances in the direction of the coffee and shakes his head.]

I have too much energy; I don't need more.

[He sits down and grins at Ravager.]

Come here, you. [Eclipse yowls, jealous, rubbing against Anakin's cheek. He snickers.] Oh get over it.

[Executor strolled over, butting under Hux's hand for attention, not wanting to be left out. Hux idly reached out to rub the back of the cat's neck as he looked at Anakin.]

Several months ago, Maketh Tua approached me to see if we could build a weapon to destroy the gods. I've made progress but we still lack a power source.

Of course, I've kept some of the plans to myself, I don't want her or her allies to be able to use it without me. But I know you have some skill in putting things together so I think you would be able to help.

[He moved the papers towards Anakin so he could see them.] I've started building the weapon but without the proper resources, it has been slow going.

[Ravager's adorable big eyes peer over the table once he is in Anakin's arms. Eclipse hops down from his perch on Anakin's shoulder, laying down in the middle of everything. How helpful.]

You know a weapon of that magnitude could destroy us too, right?

[He's not completely against it, but there are those who shouldn't face that sort of end...or transition.]

I can build anything if you give me time, materials and good schematics. What does this thing look like anyway?

[Gently, he leans forward - not wanting to make Ravager feel claustrophobic.]

They don't need to be exact. It's about making do with what we have around us.

[Hux shifted Eclipse to one side to push another paper forwrad. The cat protested with a meow but remained where he was.] This is what I have built so far. It does have the potential to bring down the cave but it needs to be powerful enough to destroy one of the supposed gods.

The problem is that we have no power source. Kyber would be ideal if we had the resources but containing it would be difficult at best.

[Anakin uses the Force to bat a toy towards Eclipse. The cat pursues it, pawing at it energetically. Ravager, meanwhile, decides to clean his face, rubbing a paw over his ear.]

Only one? If we can bring down essential parts of the cavern, we might be able to destroy all of the gods.

[He glances down at his lightsaber, gritting his teeth.]

The crystals Ben and I have are staying put.

Limited resources but building another would be possible.

[Hux let Executor settle down by him, idly petting the cat as he looked at Anakin.]

I'm not asking for your crystals. While it would be ideal to be able to use a kyber crystal, I can't use them here. When the first Death Star was being built, several research facilities were vaporized when the crystals weren't properly contained. We don't have anything remotely capable of containing the power of the kyber aside from your sabers.

I was talking about multiple targets.

[Ravager gives a cute purr, breaking Anakin's darker thoughts.]

Funny how that works, hm? The Jedi didn't discover and use the crystals overnight. You need someone Force-attuned to read them; to understand what sort of energy they hold.

We would have to plan it carefully. If we're going to take out the gods, we should target them all at once.

[Hux nearly smiled when Ravager started purring, he had a soft spot for Ravager most of all.]

Do they really talk to you? I've heard stories that the Jedi could talk to the crystals.

My point exactly. Unless one in particular has pissed you off personally?

[He does smile at the purring, scratching behind one of Ravager's ears.]

It's more...a sense. That's why we went to Ilum personally to pick the crystal that suit us best.

They have all angered me.

[Hux watched Ravager before looking at Anakin thoughtfully.]

How did you know which crystal suited you best? I've been to Ilum but the crystals were cold and silent to me.

[Ravager closes his eyes, his tail twitching contentedly as Anakin pets over him.]

I heard it...felt it. If you had any Force ability, Ilum would be a loud place to you.

They're...Light attuned. Siths can't use them unless they are strong enough to bend the crystals to their will.

Interesting. I didn't know the kyber were attuned to a certain side. I always thought of them as more as neutral power sources.
[Hux hoped he wasn't treading close to dangerous territory but he hadn't had a chance to learn these things before aside from the fragments of the Emperor's records.]

So the red lightsaber is the result of a Sith bending the crystal to their wlll?

No, they're...difficult. [When one is torn like him, it's a constant battle.] There really is no neutrality when it comes to the Force. It's either Light or Dark.

[His gaze is distant, solemn.]

It's a result of the kyber bleeding.

The Sith must all be very powerful if they are able to bend the kyber to their will then. I've seen what the kyber can do even in the hands of people who aren't Force sensitive.

[He paused, not sure how to phrase what he wanted to ask next. He had made his wariness of the Force clear throughout the years and he had never flinched when Kylo had used it around him.]

I'm trying to better understand how the Force works, if at all possible.
