[ It's obvious this is being filmed in one of the many temples, all cool hard stone behind her, and, given the subject matter of the video, most likely to be Hope's. Sharon does not look pleased. Furious might be the better descriptor but it's a calm sort of fury. There are a few spatters of dark blood on her cheeks, dried and cracking; old. She has no wounds just stains and memories. She leans in towards the lens and whispers: ]

So, which one of you fuckers killed me? [ Her killer could reply, he might not, but she won't stop until she finds him and returns the favor. ]

[ Curufin's been in Hope's temple before. Not on his own account, but for friends, for family members, and for his lover. To his senses, the cold stone exudes an air of devastation, and for him, it always will. (Though this is not perhaps in the design of the temple but in the heart of one who has waited in grief for the return of those he cares about.) And now the desolation strikes him again. And this despite the fact that Sharon doesn't look all that bad, just very, very angry. As well he can understand! ]

Sharon! Let me know if you need anything. Meantime. . . [ Swiftly reading the comments of all who chimed in before him. ] . . . dark hair, dark eyes, camera, and an obsession with other people's graffiti?

[ And he knows she doesn't much approve of the Guard, but that description will go out to all Guard members on the emergency app. ]

[ He hears the change in her voice. He knows that cold and empty tone -- from experience. ] He had a different appearance in Pleasant Valley than he does in Hadriel? Yes, that would make it more complicated to find him.

[ Strange how that can turn out -- that somehow, people can have a more significant effect on others than they think they do or can. It doesn't surprise Curufin at all that so many people care about Sharon.

And he's not going to pretend that he personally or the Guard en masse would be better candidates to apprehend the murderer than Sharon would. She's got the skills to stop this person dead in his tracks. Literally.

Besides, as Henry says, the Guard is not a police organization, only a militia. They've no capacity to enforce laws or put criminals in jail. So, like it or not, the city of Hadriel is a society that still functions tribally -- individuals can seek redress of grievances or even revenge, and no one has the right to stop them. ]

Sharon? -- be careful. I have faith in your ability to defend yourself, now that you are forewarned, prepared, and on your guard. But if you find that you need help, don't hesitate to call for it. From me or any of these kind people who have replied today.
