[Magnus starts the video with a friendly wave, grin wide, in the living room of his shared Spire Four apartment. He's apparently in a very good mood.]
Hey! Magnus here. If you haven't met me yet, what's up? You're in for a treat. I'm a delight. Anyway, I've got someone way better than me to introduce to you all! She's kind of shy, but she's a very good girl.
[He turns away from the screen to call whoever she is over.]
Peanut! Hey, Peanut!
[He waits for a couple seconds, then turns back sheepishly.]
She's still learning her name. Hang on. Peanut!
[Suddenly what looks like a black and grey dog covered in way more scales than fur and incredibly large red eyes jumps Magnus and he yelps and laughs, cut off when "Peanut" grabs the phone in her mouth and somehow turns it off.
After a short cut to black, Magnus reappears again, covered in awful scratches. He doesn't seem to mind, though.]
Hey, I got her to calm down! She's super playful. Don't worry, I got her under control now. Look!
[He turns to point the camera at the varren, who is now sitting on the couch looking much calmer than before. The couch, though, happens to have a slash through one of its cushions, and Peanut happens to only be calm because she is currently in the process of chewing through a half-eaten throw pillow.]
Her name's Peanut and she's kind of a handful, but I think it's just 'cause she's young. She's super sweet, though. Man, my roommates are going to love her! Say hi, Peanut!
[Peanut doesn't say hi. Magnus reenters the frame then to take one of her paws and wave it at the camera. She snaps at him and bites his wrist painfully, and he yelps and kicks the phone trying to pull away. Everyone is treated to a final view of the ceiling, the backdrop a series of snarls and shrieks that descend into laughter.]

Sounds fake, but whatevs. That's between you and Taako. [he's mad at her enough, she's not putting herself on the line for more of that Taako brand of grumpiness just for Magnus' new snappy pet.] Wait. Where did peanut go? [It's suspiciously quiet over there....]

[She's right. It is suspiciously quiet. Magnus turns, expecting to find Peanut back at it with the couch, but she's completely missing. He whirls around, looking here and there for her, until he finally seems to find her.]
Fuck-- Hey, don't eat that!
[He rushes offscreen and can be overheard in the distance, voice slightly echoing, scolding her.]
No! No! Hey, no, I'm not petting you after that! Do not eat!

Uh, we need a safer place to put our shower stuff.
[He holds up a bar of soap that's been chewed to hell and back. Peanut startles, as if expecting him to throw it or something.]
Hopefully she doesn't barf.

Magnus, we're friends. Like, good friends. Pals, even. We should, I dunno, send each other Candlenights cards or make a secret handshake or whatever. The point is, we're friends and I don't want anything to come between us. Sooo, keep her out of my room or all bets are off.

[He gestures a cross over his heart, making sure Lup can see. As in "cross my heart and hope to die".]
I'm serious about this. She'll be good.
[Peanut, meanwhile, is in the background, wagging her tail more and more quickly every time Magnus moves the hand holding the bar of soap. She is very into it. She barks, a raspy, yet high-pitched sound. Magnus turns to address her.]
Hey, girl, it's okay. The soap isn't yours. I'll find you something.

And let's be real, Lup's kinda always wanted to have a pet.
Despite herself and the way she's trying to look irritated with him, the corners of Lup's mouth quirk upwards, unable to stop herself from smiling.]
Whatever, you win! Knock it off with that face! I hate it! [Lup's eyes focus on Peanut, acting so much more playful than dangerous. If Magnus really wanted this to work...] Think she's got a favorite kind of treat? I'll grab a few things on my way home. [She tries to shrug it off, so casual.] You know, just to keep her quiet.

She likes any food. Just. Any food at all. Meat and greens are the best thing for her, just don't give her too many carbs and she'll be good. Which, I know, we're kinda low on the meat and greens, but she's a dog and it's not her fault the cave isn't very dog-friendly.

Alright, leave it to me. As for you, better start cleaning up before Taako and Merle get home or she'll be out before I even get back. And, uh, maybe get your hand checked out? Just a thought. [Peanut looks kinda sweet and all but who knows what the hell kind of diseases everything in the caves has on them.]

[Peanut just jumps to try to reach the soap in Magnus' hand, but Magnus pulls it up out of reach.]
