Hello,
I am in need of your assistance.
I intend to retrieve the remains at the bottom of the lake and return them to Hope's temple for proper disposition. I understand if your personal feelings about the "gods" are too negative for you to want to partake in this project; however, given the likelihood of foul play in the situation leading to the creature's death, and due to the fact that Hope is as close to next of kin as the deceased would have had, I am ethically bound to ensure that the remains are treated with respect and given culturally proper rites.
For those of you who would prefer another incentive, we will be faced withI can't believe I'm writing this sharktopii in the lake, which will require defensive and possibly offensive action. In addition, there may be other artifacts in the lake that have not been found due to an inability to thoroughly survey the area.
I have reached out to you because you were involved in the dive that resulted in the remains' discovery, because you are connected to someone involved in the dive, because you are somehow knowledgeable about death and the deceased, or because I would not hear the end of it if I did not include you in the planning process.
Please reply to all when responding, to avoid overlap and needless repetition, both of which would be inefficient. I cannot do this alone. I do not possess technology or innate abilities that will permit me to retrieve the bones myself. If I did, it would already have been done.
Thank you for your attention.
Regards,
Dr. Temperance Brennan
