No! Your entrance was perfect. {He chuckles softly, entwining their fingers together and tugs the younger Elf away from the path. He stops a little ways on, where he's spread out a blanket over the ground and set out a picnic basket.}

I hope you are hungry. {There's also a small box in the middle of the spread, waiting almost innocently.}

Be careful, all that flattery might go to my head. [It's always fun watching Maedhros blush; somehow it never clashes with his hair the way it ought to. He lets Maedhros pull him along, and when he sees the picnic basket a pleased warmth spreads through him.

With one more warm squeeze in thanks, he moves to sit down on the blanket.]

Oh, always. [A small grin.] I'm still hoping against hope for a few more inches, and every bit might help.

[He notes the box's placement and gives Maitimo a questioning look]

He returns the squeeze, happy to see the arrangement pleases Fingon. And grins, pushing aside as much of his nerves as he can as he sits beside him.}

If you can grow taller, then you will. {Secretly he hopes it doesn't happen, because Fingon is perfect just how he is. Again, denying that bias!

...And he's nervous again, when Fingon looks at him with that question.}

That is your choice, Finno. I...have something I have been wanting to tell you for...a while. It can wait until we have eaten, or I can tell you now.

You'll regret it when I can't fit my head through the door. [Maedhros is flagrantly biased- but Fingon likes it when his wonderful, ridiculous cousin is biased in his favor. He always has.
