[Very briefly, Hannibal considered his options. He could construct evidence, guide Will in "discovery" that his murderer was someone who had long since vanished. But had they not just sworn their alleigence to one another? And did he not slit his friend's throat to transform him? And in the manner that he had been transformed by that night in Baltimore? Allowing his uncertainty to continue was more harm than good, and truth would build trust.
