It would be against our abductors' better interests to simply allow any of us to die, even accounting for their power to resurrect the dead. Utilizing that ability puts a drain on their resources, which again runs counter to what we have learned about them. The very reason for the events is to draw energy from us.

And in the highly unlikely event that I am wrong ~~[Brennan shut up]~~ the fact remains that they are able to revive the dead.

You may continue to refuse to participate, but do not be upset if or when someone shoots you.

You're allowing yourself to partake in an event controlled by emotions-manipulating beings in which people are being forcefully knocked out by paint, unable to wake, with weapons that look like toy guns. Don't think you're in any position to call anyone ridiculous here.

What evidence do you have to support your claim that technology and brain development are irrelevant? The evidence that I see is the vast majority of the city partaking in an event that is mentally stimulating as well as physically challenging. Further, I am far from feeble-minded. I am the foremost in my field in my entire world. That kind of recognition is not afforded to someone feeble-minded. My opinion is only swayed by evidence.

Your argument contradicts itself, considering you stated that part of your reason for disparaging my and others' participation in this competition was that we are content with allowing others to die in comas because our abductors can revive them. Why would I consider it, when I have no idea what training you may or may not possess? And yet, even the best sniper can and does miss. [Sorry, Booth.] You are more likely to cause someone's death than those of us playing the game. You will almost certainly cause them injury. Yes, there are people here with healing abilities, but your actions will be placing an additional burden on them. I have temporarily been given one such ability, and in fact, when I used it to try and wake up someone I had shot, the ability failed.

You're so sure of what is more likely, and yet you know shit about my own training and skills. You're also excusing putting people into comas and possible death over injury by conventional weapons that can be healed... because you think healers might be annoyed?

And you just said it right there -- you can't wake someone you shot. Do you still think my suggestion of temporarily subduing a threat is more likely to cause more harm in the long run? Am really questioning your claim about your field, whatever that is.

Unless you plan on taking care of the people you shoot so they don't die from dehydration over the week, you might as well be murdering them. So don't fucking tell me that injuring someone to prevent them from harming others is worse than this "game" you're willing to play.

And for starters, am not making more coma patients by shooting people with those "guns". Am planning to get anyone left in the open in shelter if possible.

Maybe you weren't around when it happened, but we were fucking attacked and almost died in the middle of one of these stupid events.
