[Boy is she glad that she melted down her own gun the second it caught her attention. But that also just means she's going to be carrying around her own piece, and it doesn't shoot paintballs.]

... Okay, you're gonna have to explain that one to me. Just how the heck are you still standing if you've been shot in the head more then once? I'm assuming those were with real bullets?

[ he paused and then grimaced. ]

Right. Rage usually is all about the property damage. I really wish Wrath would go and pick on someone else for once though. [ he sighed ] So I guess you're telling us not to play this game because that'd only give the God what he wants, huh? So what happens if he doesn't get his way?

[ because that's another thing to consider. Which basically just means they'd be screwed no matter what. ]

Of course they were real bullets. Was shot at by this asshole during one of Rage's past bullshit games. Hurt like a bitch, but didn't die. Am more durable than most, but have known humans to take gunshot wounds to the head and survive. Sometimes it just takes dumb luck.

[She's pretty casual about this, all things considered. Being shot is no big deal; she's been killed several times before, and not brought back in such nice ways that Hope does.

[Rey scoffs at his comments.] Yes, that's about the gist of it.

Fear's the only one who sort of threw a fit for people not playing along with his little schtick. Don't think it matters to Rage how many people partake, so long as enough do. Am just saying that we aren't entirely without our own choice here, and the gods don't have to control us. [Free will is a big deal to Rey.]

I feel like if Rage really wants us to cause a stink, we should just go and tear down his temple or whatever he's got. They'll be plenty of rage performed on both sides after a deal like that.

[ still... he just sighed. ]

Well, thanks for the info and I'll do my best not to give the gods what they want without a good reason.

And if you've still got that bullet in the head, I'd seriously consider getting that taken out. I've heard stuff like that can really screw with a person.

[ and there's plenty of that going around. As for death, well. He's getting the uneasy feeling that he was going to have to start getting used to dying in the joint. Almost everyone he's talked to has kicked it at least once in their lifetimes. And that's not a very comfortable thing to say. ]

The problem is that their temples aren't easily toppled. It's been tried.

[In any case, she's grateful that at least some people here aren't happily jumping on the opportunity to knock each other out for an indiscernible amount of time.]

What? No, it wasn't that bad. ["Bad" by Rey's standards, that is.] More of a graze than anything serious. [Again, by her standards.] Still bled a lot and hurt like shit, though.

Sounds about right for a graze. You really got off lucky then. [ except for that whole, "being shot at" thing in the first place. ]

So temple razing is off the cards. Is there anything you can think of that hasn't been tried yet? What about taking 'em all out for dinner and then once their drunk, we figure out where the the key to the front door is, just make a break for it?
