Look at all of this! [she gestures, meaning to encompas the entire sewing shop] There are enough supplies to sew entire dresses, except for the fabric. Does anyone know where I might aquire the fabric? Please let me know. I'd love to get started as soon as I can.

[ He can sense the woman's reluctance to deal with the gods, and he understands it, but really, Delight is one of the least offensive. It'll be alright. ]

[breaths a sigh of relief] That's good to know. Most of my--dealings with the gods have been unpleasant.

[she's just had bad experiences with gods in general]

So were mine back home. These gods, though, they need things from us just like we need from them. It's... predictable.

[ The background of his video shifts, as he moves through the house. ]

They need our emotions. That's not a little thing. It--it makes me not want to feel at all.

[Marg looks off camera a moment, biting her lip at the admission]

Even the cruelest of these gods is kinder than the one I know. So I cooperate. Many here don't -- I have to wonder if that wasn't the case, they'd manipulate us less. But maybe I think the best of everyone.

[ He leaves them both with that thought, as he gathers the fabric and heads over. Soon enough the door opens, and Pell comes in with two bolts of fabric tucked under his arm. ]

Margaery, was it?

[Margaery stands to greet him (and his fabric) and smiles]

Yes, Margaery Tyrell, Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. I don't think I caught your name?

Ah. The network id was just your name, not the title. Should I bow?

[ He sets the fabric down and looks around the shop, abandoned without Emily. Something aches in his chest -- he misses her so much. ]

Pellaz Cevarro. You can just call me Pell.

[she laughs sweetly] No, that won't be necessary. I was never one for much ceremony even back home.

[well, it's not abandoned anymore. Marg needs it to make dresses for herself and also stuff for other people if they ask. which they already have. not that she minds, she's been looking for an outlet for her energies]

It's my pleasure to meet you, Pell. Have you been here long?

[ Pell smiles at her laugh, feeling a bit more at ease. ] Good, it wouldn't mean much coming from me. Not a subject of... any of your kingdoms, I suppose.

I've been here a little over a year and a half, now. Some days it doesn't feel that long, others it feels longer. Depends on what I'm remembering.

[she smiles back] No, I'd imagine not. Are you from Earth?

[sounds shocked] A year and a half? Oh, my. That's--quite a long time. [nods at his description of how the time feels] I understand. I've only been here a month, but it feels like longer.

[pellameno]

One of many, it seems. We call my world Earth but it isn't much like others I've heard of here.

[ A month, hm? ]

You're still adjusting, then, certainly. Give it time. This place is... a lot to handle, especially at first. It's been quiet lately, though.

Oh? How is it different?

[Marg is a bb by Hadriel standards]

And there's so much to adjust to! My phone continues to be confusing and it took me a week to understand how can openers work. And quiet? Is it usually more--more tumultuous?

Well, for one thing, humanity is going extinct where I'm from. No one's heard of my kind besides those from my home world.

[ As for it being quiet... ]

Yes, usually. At least it has been, in the past... everything happening lately has been designed to generate emotions without putting us in physical danger.

Humanity? You mean, people like me? Why are they going extinct? And may I ask what your kind is, or is that too personal?

[yes, nice peace and quiet. something where noncombatants like Margaery aren't in danger. she likes not being in danger]

I'm grateful for that. I don't know anything about fighting or defending myself. Where I'm from, ladies aren't expected to know.

No one really knows. Though I was born human, too. I became Wraeththu at fifteen... most of our kind right now were originally human, I've only met one child born to us.

[ He tilts his head at her, curiously. ]

You should learn anyway. Especially here...

How strange. I wonder what could cause something like that. But, what's the difference between a human and a Wraeththu?

Do you think people here would try to hurt me?

It's biological, above everything else. But all hara also have access to certain abilities that most humans don't. With study and practice we can become quite powerful.

[ He'd be happy to demonstrate some things for her, if she doesn't believe. The whole 'magic' thing has been difficult for a lot of people. ]

I mean, it's possible -- there are murderers among us. But the monsters are more what I was thinking about.

Certain abilities? What kinds of abilities?

[Marg knows that once Westeros had magic, but now it's gone. she'd be curious about magic from other worlds]

Oh! Well, I stay away from the caves where the monsters are. I know I wouldn't have a chance against them. Or against people, to be completely honest.
