[For once Matt has the video on. It's no use to him, but he wants his face to be seen this time, because this is serious. And he's furious.]

I'm going to guess most of us read the post that the ones who call themselves the Null posted. If you didn't, it's because you're on their list. The list of targets they've asked us to kill in exchange for the location of the god killer. I'm not the first to post about it either, but the louder the signal, the less chance it can be missed or ignored.

And it needs to be known.

I'm no fan of the "gods" who brought us here. I'm no fan of these null either. But I refuse to stand by while people are used as pawns and killed. This is their game, not ours.

[More seriously.] I understand the concern and we will take it into account, but in my experience there is just as much risk in splitting up.

You're right about that. No one should be left on their own. Just... definitely be careful.

[His lips pull into a smile now, grim, but determined.] Yeah, I'm used to people wanting to kill me. Thought I gave that up, but then I wound up here.

I take it your world lacks elves.

[Most people's worlds seem to lack elves. It's very disconcerting.]

[And then he gives an amused, deadly smile. Matt can't see it, of course, but the tone that accompanies it is obvious.]

I'd like to make sure that they do regret it. Making offers like that, trying to incite us to violence against one another. It's disgusting.

[Matt will have a hard time forgiving that.]

It is. But this tactic has worked before, among peoples less desperate than many here.

Hopefully, we will remember that we are all on the same side, no matter our opinions of the gods who brought us here.

I hope we do, but we have to prepare for the worst I think, to assume that someone might be desperate or stupid enough to take up the offer.

[Or someone who has zero qualms with murder to begin with.]

I want to believe most people here wouldn't hurt someone else for so flimsy a reason.
