I'm going to guess most of us read the post that the ones who call themselves the Null posted. If you didn't, it's because you're on their list. The list of targets they've asked us to kill in exchange for the location of the god killer. I'm not the first to post about it either, but the louder the signal, the less chance it can be missed or ignored.

And it needs to be known.

I'm no fan of the "gods" who brought us here. I'm no fan of these null either. But I refuse to stand by while people are used as pawns and killed. This is their game, not ours.

I don't know much about them myself. This is my first direct interaction. But apparently they're the sworn enemies of the "gods" that brought us to this place, trying to destroy them.

I don't think the gods have our best intentions at heart either, but I don't think we can consider these Null our friends, not with these kinds of methods. They're looking for proof of loyalty with this, see who would be willing to do anything.

'Proof of loyalty'? When we're the ones who were kidnapped? It doesn't matter if they didn't do it, why the hell should we trust them? Especially when they pull shit like that.

[A snort and then an angry huff that's almost a laugh.]

What other reason? What does killing any one person from a list -- that includes children -- actually accomplish practically? It only gives them some proof that whoever this is, is on their side enough to murder for them. And it gives us a pretty clear idea of how much our lives matter to the Null.

I know there's that saying that 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' but that's such bullshit. If this is how they treat people, there's no way we can ever trust them.

Yeah, that particular tenet doesn't apply here. Neither side sees us as allies. At best we're tools or food. We have to be on our own side here.

[A moment's pause, and he'd love to say that no. This city is full of good people who wouldn't dream of taking up this offer. But he can't say that.]

I don't know. We have to consider that it's possible.

I hate to say it, but maybe another list isn't a bad idea. If anyone tries to take up the Null on their offer, spread the word so that we all know.

Another list could cause a witch hunt. And there's the possibility certain people are pretending to go along to see if they can pull more information. We should be wary, we should be vigilant.

But we have to be careful. If we start turning on one another, throwing accusations or taking justice into our own hands... that's what they want. It'd cause chaos. More people would get hurt.

[They can't become the thing they're fighting against.]
