Good afternoon, my dear Hadrielites. I find myself in need of a housemate. Perhaps two. You will need to be fond of pets and music and at least tolerant of alcohol consumption and platonic nudity.

Your own pets will be perfectly welcome, provided they can get along with mine. I will feed you, providing you can stomach cave meat and providing you don't have too outlandish a diet.

Talk to me. I despise living alone.

These are Terran hyenas. They're a pack-dwelling land carnivore. They're very well behaved - aren't you, my good boys?

I hope that she has. [ Though, from what Alice said, she had... a lot going on back home, and a lot of worries about it all. ]

I've never seen one before. [ But she's interested. ] ... Did they come through the Door with you?

They did. They were on my ship with me - unfortunately my ship didn't make it through, or things would be very different here.

Would you like to come and meet them? I shall make cocktails!

Your ship? [ ... ] I was also on a ship, though, like yours, it did not come through.

[ Unfortunately, none of the other people - or her dragons - did, either. ]

I - Yes. Thank you. [ Drinks and animals? Sounds good! ] If it isn't any inconvenience.

Yeah, this whole living alone thing is a bit of a drag. I'm a fan of pets and music, personally. They're... friendly, right?

[He's never really seen pet hyenas before. Not even as familiars.]

They are. I've taken some pains to teach them better manners than their former master. They're very good company; but one does need language-using peers as well.

That's pretty incredible, actually. Really, seeing any animals here is good. We don't really have too many from what I can tell.

[He looks around the empty apartment behind him for a moment, thinking, then turns back to Bianca with a shrug.]

I might be interested in the roommate thing. Too quiet in here by myself. Need me to fill out an application?

Oh goodness, nothing so formal. Come and visit, we shall see how we both feel.

And yes. We do have the nugs and the fennecs, but they aren't precisely native - I'm not sure anything is. And most of the creatures from the caves don't really lend themselves to domestication.

Yeah, I'm okay with not having any large monsters around as pets anyway. They're probably way too much trouble to feed.

I do know of one City resident who's adopted one - a sort of large lizard creature. I shall be very interested to see how that progresses.
