[Hayden's never posted to the Network all on his own before, so it's a little nerve-wracking. In fact, he's kind of shaking a little as he sits himself in front of his video feed, tittering and mumbling to himself before he actually seems to remember he's recording and maybe he should say something. So then he says a lot, all at once, really loudly.]

Hello I'm Hayden and I don't think anybody should think about bad stuff like murder anymore! Perhaps maybe consider...that people are nice and would not like it! I have met a lot of nice people! Tell me who your favorite people are, please! Let's all talk about our favorites! My favorites are Mister Harlan and Miss Temperance and Lord Mister Sir Hope! Also, also, a lot of others I think!

[Hayden takes a breath.]

[He reaches for his phone and fumbles with it, but then it's off.]

[Hayden gasps, eyes wide. Clearly, this is news to him that's very, very exciting.]

Wow! What do you do to work? Is it great? It must be so great!

[She can't help but smile at his enthusiasm, adjusting her glasses to have something to do with her hands and because she thinks it looks kind of cool.]

Well, uhm, I founded-- well, I didn't make it, but uh, I run Hadriel's science lab! So, I do... s-science there. So does she! Not, uh, the same stuff, but we see each other a lot. She's always done a lot for me.

That's amazing! I bet you two are the smartest people who ever...who ever, um, smarted!

[If it isn't already painfully obvious, he knows nothing about science.]

What kind of science? Can I see? Is anyone allowed to be there or do you have to have a special invitation?

[This is adorable. It's been so long since someone praised her this effortlessly, and while it's easy for her to downplay it as a kid's excitement, it does seem to bolster her up.]

No, you can c-come by! The door's only locked when no one's here. Just be careful, there's a lot of, uhm, metal and glass and stuff.

[Oh right, he also asked specifics.]

Oh, right, uhm-- it's all kinds of stuff. I mostly do robotics and b-building things, though.

[He probably will. I'm sorry. He won't do it on purpose. I'm still sorry.]

You make robots? Whoaa! Whooooaaa! I have never met a robot before. Do they become your friends when you build them? Is it easy to be friends with robots?

[It's fine, tiny friend. She breaks shit all the time. Half the reason she became an engineer was to fix things she shattered with unsteady hands.]

Well, uh-- I mean, so far I've only made one robot? But he's one of my best friends. I guess it depends how you, uhm, p-program them! If you made a mean robot it might be hard to be friends with.

[Why is she even explaining this? He just seems so excited, she can't help it.]

[Hayden is of course not going to make a robot he can barely stick two pieces of cardboard together.]

I think I would want them to be programmed...to be happy! And then we could all be friends. I would not want a robot who is not that way because I would be afraid that the robot would get lonely!

That sounds like it would be a g-great robot. I bet you'd do a great job.
