[Ty has a scowl on his face when he makes this video, rocking back and forth again in that self-soothing manner as he pointedly does not look at the screen. He's hugging his arm to his chest tightly, knuckles white, and his free hand is held uselessly in the air, at least a dozen small bleeding cuts all over it as he makes squeezing motions with his fingers. He cringes as he does it, looking tense and distressed, but he doesn't stop the movement.]

The library here is pointless. You can't read any of the books. I wanted to find the Sherlock Holmes stories, but it doesn't have them. It doesn't even have a cookbook. I need a cookbook. I don't know how to cook, and I don't want to eat toast anymore, and the stove didn't make the macaroni right. The microwave only makes things explode.

I went looking for animals, and there aren't any I can find in the city. All the animals in the tunnels are big and mean. There aren't any nice animals. All the tunnels lead you right back here. Whoever made the tunnels like that, it isn't funny or nice.

[Ty takes in a deep, trembling breath and lets it out once he's gotten that little tirade over with, then goes back to why he's making this video in the first place.] I need a cookbook. And instructions for the stove.

[The rocking. The pointed avoidance of making eye contact with the screen. There's a painful familiarity to it. Certainly it's not enough to make a formal diagnosis, but still Rosen's mind wanders to another young man back home.

[Ty frowns down at his hand, clenching and unclenching it a few times as he talks.] I broke a mirror. I didn't mean to get cut. I'm not supposed to use an iratze if there's glass in the cuts or else it will heal with it in but I can't tell.

I'm afraid I don't know what an iratze is, but if its a deep cut I can have a look at it.

It's a healing rune. [He says it almost impassively before he pauses and gets a bit of an 'oh, oops' expression.] ... You're a mundane, are't you. [He frowns, looking more troubled now.] We're not supposed to talk to mundanes about the things we do. [But if he can't call his brother Julian, then he probably can't get a hold of the Silent Brothers either for healing...

In hindsight, he wishes he would have thought to say the Shadowhunter motto to try and see if there were any other Nephilim here, but he was too distressed with his thoughts too scattered to think of it earlier.

He flicks a glance towards the screen a bit warily before he looks away again.] ... You're just going to look at it? That's all? [He doesn't know too much about mundane medical procedures, so he's wary about walking into something that's going to potentially hurt.]

[Rosen chews a bit at the corner of his lip]

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean by a 'mundane' [Though he can chance a few guesses at the types of things it might imply, primarily that he is someone without magic] But if you are injured you really do need to be treated.

[Ty looks conflicted now. He knows he's not supposed to talk about Shadowhunter business with a mundane, but he doesn't know how else to explain it without talking about Shadowhunter things.]

... A normal human. [He finally decides to settle on that, believing it'll be adequate enough.]

Alright. [He still sounds reluctant but... the sooner it gets looked at and made sure there's no glass, the sooner he can use an iratze and the sooner it'll stop stinging.]
