[voice] Private to squad 10 (backdated to the 18th)
[PRIVATE TO: Barry Bluejeans, Malkus Iverwelling, Napstablook, Sansa Stark]
Oi. You guys.
[he hasn't talked to any of them yet, because even having people he genuinely cares for and considers his crew, Law is a loner and doesn't "hang out." Not without a purpose, and after talking to Atem, he has that purpose.]
I know it's late, but if you guys want to meet me in the speakeasy, I've got an idea. I think we'd be useful to Hope. But I don't want to talk about it over the phone in case it's being tapped by the Null.
I mean, if you just want to get a drink, too... [trailing off shyly]
[ACTION: Law will be where he said, late that night, nursing a drink and waiting for friends.]

[ Voice ] -> [ Action ]
[ Almost as if he’d been waiting for the smallest excuse, Malkus would already be barging his way into the speakeasy. He seemed... out of sorts. Disorganized. But that rosy colored jacket looked positively stylish on the man. The doctor made his way over to Law, tipping his wide-brimmed hat as he took a seat beside one of his best friends. ]
What kind of gentleman would I be, if I didn’t make time for my bunch!

Ah, there you are. Did you say you'd been sick? You know I can handle anything like that.

Oh, hohoh! No need to worry yourself, chum. Bad fish is all. I’m trying to take up fishing as another source of meat, but the creatures here are rather alien. Better than the monsters, at least. Not... not going to try that again.
[ He held a hand against his stomach to get the point across. While this whole spiel wasn’t entirely true, it was true that Malkus was dealing with the after effects of some poisoning. Just maybe not food poisoning. ]

[he takes a sip of his rum to provide a decent segue - and cover up that he doesn't know how to cook fish either, besides "charred to a crisp"]
So. I had an idea. About protecting Hope.

[ Malkus nodded and made an effort to get his own drink served. A much more watered down rum, diluted enough to lessen that harsh bitterness. Malkus was a gigantic baby, alright? ]
Hope?
[ A flash of heat rose in the back of his head, similar to a sudden stress headache. But he was willing to hear the plan out! For Law. ]
What have you got in mind?

We're a team, right? Well...the others haven't arrived yet but you know what I mean. We could work as one unit to keep a watch on the temple. Unless someone else has already thought of that and are on it...

[ He wiggled his hand. Even Malkus was of a particular mind about them. While he did appreciate their efforts in monster repulsion and everything, he wasn’t one to view them with any authority. Not in a place filled with anarchy and mad deities. ]
While I’m not much of a straight forward fighter, I do think you’re onto something. If anything, just having a presence there should... Inspire hope? I don’t mean Hope hope, but hope- like ah-... the feeling. Confidence!
no subject
[he rubs his goatee, thinking. Malkus is, actually, onto something]
I suppose if I had to strengthen one, I'd rather Hope than anyone else. That's a good point. Even if we just stroll by once in a while...
