Chapter ~4~ [Video]
[Delmar is sitting in a cheerful looking room that has been done up in shades of delicate yellows and warm maroons. Seel's handiwork. As for Delmar himself, although he's been forced by the heat to relinquish his beloved sweaters and scarves in favor of a tank top, has still wrapped himself up in a pastel shawl, a way to stay cool without having to be uncovered. He doesn't mind the heat so much if he stays inside, but he cannot stand the thought of being so uncovered.
Despite this little personal dilemma, Delmar looks shy but cheerful as he gives the screen a little wave of his hand]
Hello, everyone, it's Delmar. I just wanted to make a little announcement.
[He then gestures to the room around him]
Thanks to the very very big help of the wonderful Seel the bakery is ready to open. And thanks to Mr. Hope I have a month's supply of ingredients.
[They've been in his apartment during the whole Null invasion, but to his good fortune they have survived.]
Also, if there's anyone who might be interested in helping out here please don't be shy. Everyone is welcome and I would be very grateful for the help. And if you don't know how to bake that is perfectly alright, I would be more than happy to teach you.
[He laces his fingers together before remembering something and getting up to grab something off screen]
Oh! And I've decided to name it the 'Bear Hug' Bakery [He returns into view with his two teddy bears, Harlan Jr. and the lampshade bear, Beauregard, both in knitted sweaters] I know it might sound silly but...well... [A bashful look] ...I thought it was cute.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. I hope you all have a good day.

Re: Audio
[If only Delmar needed him to sign and read over important political documents, then he'd be so happy.]
Back home, our cook Yarrow would make a raspberry cream pie. It was quite good.
......but I haven't had chocolate often in the last forty years.
[Chocolate was rather hard to come by when your world was post-apocalyptic. Fruit and cream were easy. Chocolate was by trade usually reserved for special occasions. Not exactly pie material.]
I can't wait to taste your work, Delmar.
Re: Audio
[After all, Seel deserves a very big treat after all of his help]
I'm afraid we don't have any chocolate just yet but hopefully when this horrible food shortage is over then we will. As soon as we do you will get the first of it.
Re: Audio
[That was a lie. Seel didn't know your work well enough to have that much faith in it Delmar, but he was willing to try and give you a chance. But if you could live up to Yarrow's pies, you were quite good.]
You're sweet. Thank you.
Re: Audio
[He's blushing]
Are you being careful in this heat?
Re: Audio
Besides, I lived in a desert for years. But thank you for your consideration. It's...unnecessary.
Make sure you take care of yourself. Stay inside, make sure you drink enough water.
Re: Audio
[He says this gravely as if discussing matters of national urgency. But after getting sick and then getting himself injured, he owes it to his friends to be more diligent]
Re: Audio
Good. Make sure you stay near water too. Don't go out when it's too hot. Make sure you have enough water to last you until you can go out to refill.
Re: Audio
Seel...do...do you think we are going to be here permanently? In this place?
Re: Audio
[Personally, Seel's odds were on grown up Pell finding them. It might take him ten years, but he'd find them. Cal had already come and gone back, and with any luck, told his love what had happened here. That was Seel's hope at any rate. His Pell had experience searching inter-dimensional spaces for missing people.]
Re: Audio
[He's, um, he's not particularly fond of the hot planet. What about a nice fall forest where they can watch the leaves change color?]
Re: Audio
Re: Audio
[He clearly sounds disappointed]
Have things ever been this bad here before? With the Gods, I mean.
Re: Audio
Either way, we should be prepared. We'll be counting on you for food supplies, Delmar.
