I'm not a mage, though. Dwarves can't be mages...except that some learn how to make enchanted shit, so there's that.

Well, sometimes they need lyrium for the really big stuff. That's this glowing mineral that's put in potions. If they run low mid-battle, they can chug that down. But even without lyrium, it always comes back sooner or later.

Oh... I see. That's how it works for me too, but it comes back really slow. Like, unless you take magic off someone else, it can take a couple days. Never heard of lyrium, whatever that is...

It boosts your magic, more or less. It also gives Templars their skills, so they can cancel magic. The benefits are pretty awesome but it's also addictive and Templars who use it too long tend to get weird and have memory problems. I can't say whether or not it's worth it, since I've never needed to chug it for either reason.

Not really. It's not like there are a lot of other options. And I'd rather have them as the food than the other way around.

but i got a couple friends who do and back in our world magic is everywhere almost
there are some places without it but its like idk a natural resource
like there are deserts but most places have water u know?
they can get too tired to cast shit tho
anyway they havent had any problem findin magic here

There was a guy bragging about his bakery on the network not too long ago. Apparently you don't have to buy his bread with money here... but also nobody has ever come around to just take it all and hoard it.

...not that I know of, yet? There was a guy who had been checking out the tunnels for minerals or something, but I told him what lyrium was like and he said he hadn't seen any. Maybe the 'gods' don't want it here because we'd bust out too easily if our mages had access to it.
