[day 2 of the dust storm and...yo, Hadriel, Dr. Asshole needs a favor]
I don't suppose there's anyone who can give me a hand with something.
[he shifts the video from himself, past an enormous black flag tacked to his wall, to a gaping hole in the wall of his apartment. There's already a fine layer of dust collecting like drifting snow around the edges of the floor.]
My place took some damage in the Null battle. Fixing it wasn't exactly a priority until right about now, and I'm not exactly a carpenter.
If anyone can take care of this so I don't have to sleep in the hallway outside, that'd be great. In return I can use my ability to teleport you in and out, or anywhere else in the city.
[but Law, why can't you just find a new apartment? He has reasons, okay.]

Oh. [Seel wondered if he could pull that back home. But Phlaar knew he didn't like him and it probably wasn't quite the same thing when the royal physician actually answered to Swift and not him. It didn't matter. Phlaar was an idiot. And he wasn't here. Perfect.]
I don't mind Swift knowing. If there's something that I prefer to keep secret I'll let you know though.
There. That should keep out the dust for now. I'll come back and make it look better when the storm lets up.

Thanks. It was getting pretty bad, that's much better already. [aside from the crap that already got in, he'll have to sweep later. Legit, though, he needs a drink now.]
I'll keep that in mind. Give me a moment - I'm going to wash my hands first. Then I'll look into that little problem of yours.

Thanks. Ag, I really wish I hadn't given Swift those cigarettes.
[Then again, what choice did he have? Save his marriage, give up the crutch. Now if he could just stop the itch, he'd be good. Besides, he had like 1 1/2 left.]
I started a fight with Swift over nothing.
[Seel had been fucking cranky, which was ridiculous considering the love of his life was finally there, and instead of welcoming him with open arms, he picked a fight and blew smoke in his face. Real mature.]

He comes back out drying his hands with the one clean towel still in his apartment and then tosses it onto his shoulder like some kind of cook.]
So you're totally out, now? That's fine, I can still work with that. But if he ends up needing to quit for lack of a supply as well, at least I'm prepared.
[he brings up the Room around the two of them, and does a Scan quick just to see where they are in this recovery. Hmm. He knows he really shouldn't just stimulate the adrenal gland and leave it at that, it should be time to start weaning him off the sensation, but...clearly, it's not working as flawlessly as he first expected.]

[Seel sighed, it was at least normal for them, Law was right. Although in terms of marital bliss his role models weren't exactly stellar. At least Seel and Swift shared a bedroom and didn't live in opposite wings that took twenty minutes to get too.]
It's my fault. It's usually my fault. [Try always his fault. Seel had a not so small temper problem.
In terms of his recovery, well, Seel really liked this sensation. And he was frustrated and angry and upset and cigarettes helped calm him. You would think he would have thought asking Swift for a hug would have done the same thing.]

[one less Wraeththu to help quit smoking, yay.
Since he promised, Law performs his usual stimulation, but he's already thinking about new and different methods of treatment - for next time. This is not the moment to be changing course, with an apartment full of sand and his grubby "polite as fuck" t-shirt on.]
Take it easy. Personal problems are not my area of expertise...if it's not the withdrawal, it's something I can't fix. Personally, I like being an asshole. People don't bother you as much.

You know, I said something similar once. Being nice is overrated. Sometimes I just want to be the bitch I know I am.
[Seel went into the meditative state and waits until Law signals that he's done.]
Thanks. I guess if you're done with me, I should probably go fix my marriage.
[Don't think you weren't saving him right now Law. Besides the nicotine issue, the giddy side effects were probably really great right now. Unless Swift didn't think they were as amusing as Seel did. In that case, he's sorry. But not a lot.]

I mean, if you really want to, you can always talk to Lance-ya. He's a psychologist. It's nothing I'd personally do, but it's there.
I'll send you back with Shambles. Just make sure you have all your stuff.
[one Room down, a much bigger one to follow. He might miss his target by a few feet but at least Seel will be swapped back inside spire 1.]

[There were certainly things they needed help with. But they needed to be able to actually say the words first, find out how each other was doing, before they involved someone else. Still, it was a good suggestion. He hadn't thought about it before.
Seel picked up his tools, giving Law a quick up and down appreciative grin before he was back in spire 1. It was damn nice to talk to someone who he could just be himself with.]
