[ Cash knows how these network type things work, so she is feeling pretty smart right about now. when the video comes on, you can see she's holding the phone at arms length. she fixes her hair first, and then smiles. ]

Hi Noah. [ she's going to try and reel it in a little instead of scaring him off. ] New friends from here or friends you know from home?

[ she shrugs at him about the reception. do phones not work underground? ]

Um, from home. [Noah's pretty awkward around people for the first time, especially pretty girls, so. Uh. Give him a few minutes. He tends to use sighs as punctuation and is bad at eye contact.]

We were someplace else before this. Called Harborview. That wasn't home though home's in Virginia. And now we're here. Still together, at least?

Still together. [ she sounds more wistful than she'd like to, but she wishes she was together with anyone. she's alone, though. ]

Did you want to be in Harborview?

[He picks up on the wistfulness though, it's something he can relate to, and it makes him slightly more relaxed.]

It was better than the train that got us there, and... it was really creepy, run by people who didn't understand what it meant to be a sacrifice. But I met people there, friends, who aren't with me now...

I'm glad the others are with me, I just wish the rest were, too.

Before here... I was somewhere else, too. Not home, I mean. I don't know where the others went.

Me too. [ somehow, she doubts that they are. ]

No, not a island. [ well - she reconsiders. ] Maybe it was an island. I don't know. We weren't able to find a way outside. We were just... stuck. Inside. All day. Everyday.

Oh. ... I wonder if it was the same place. We weren't stuck inside, but - we were on this island, but we were kind of stuck just at the shore and like a mile or two inland. There was a huge space at the center no one could get into. We were just told it was dangerous.

now that is interesting. [ her eyes light up, and it's easy to see she's working through this information, trying to see how it fits in with what she already knows. ] How'd you get there? Who put you there?

Um. They kept calling themselves 'technicians'. And that they were working for 'Old Gods'.

[ she's visibly disappointed. none of that sounds familiar. ] No. We weren't the same place.
