( The video opens to half a second of Serah looking vaguely unsure about what she's doing before a smile crosses her face when her phone begins recording. )

Hi. ( Start with manners. It's only polite. ) I'm Serah. I'm one of the newer people here. And, well, back home I was a teacher. I know this place doesn't have a proper school or anything, but I wanted to help with that.

( Which is why she's stood in a building, one which has seen better days but is in one piece. )

I think, if we fix this place a little, we could use the rooms for hosting lessons.

( How can you say no to that optimistic little voice.

A breath before she speaks again- )

That's all I wanted to say. Thank you for listening.

( Serah Farron out. )

( Well, she's not questioning it. She's more than glad to see a friendly face turn up to help, with...

Well. With some extra help. )

Oh. ( She is a little wary, but Serah gently holds out a hand towards the wolf sniffing at her. ) What's his name?

[ The wolf takes a couple extra steps forward to press a wet, cold nose against Serah's hand. He might even lick at her fingers if she lets him; he's far more domesticated than your average wolf. Probably comes from being around so many people in such a short amount of time. ]

That's Wolfie. He's happy to meet you.

( And, after a moment of hesitation, Serah shifts her hand to stroke the wolf's head. )

He's really cute.

( In a different, more lethal kind of way than Mog or Snow. But that's not the only reason Rose is here. )

So, this is it. You wanna look around?

[ The wolf gives a gentle huff and leans into Serah's hand easily. He seems to appreciate the compliment as well, pressing against her palm to encourage more pets. ]

Thanks. He's... been really good for me, actually. [ It might seem a bit silly but having a companion like him really helped ease the loneliness a lot of days. ]

Yeah, for sure. Give me the grand tour.

( She can understand that all too well, really. )

Sure. ( And away they go! Like with most old houses in Hadriel, the layout is pretty standard, so Serah gestures around to places like the kitchen and living room before taking them upstairs. )

Well, I guess that's everything. ( The upstairs rooms probably need the most clearing, though. ) What do you think?

[ Wolfie sniffles and snuffles his way through the home alongside Rose. She seems to take most interest in the kitchen. ]

Were you going to actually use the kitchen, or? It's got some good acoustics, so I think that'd be best for a music or dance space. I could clear it out and do my best with it.

Well, I was thinking about offering cooking classes...

( HM. )

Do you think we could share? ( She could always store things in other places and bring them out for classes. Keep ingredients at home if need be. )

Ah, then- Don't worry about it. I'm sure I can make one of the other rooms work.

[ Being a bother is something Rose tries to avoid even now. She doesn't want to disrupt people's plans or go against what they've already decided. If Serah wants the kitchen, she can have it. ]

Is that what you did back home? Cook?

( It's not that much of a bother, really. There's still a lot of time before everything's set up. But, for the question, Serah shakes her head. )

Well, I taught a little of everything. A lot of history, but...

( This doesn't seem to be the place for the history of Pulse and Cocoon. )

Seems more useful to offer practical skills.

[ It is to Rose. And that's all that she needs to decide to know that if Serah wants the kitchen, she'll find somewhere else to teach her class out of. ]

Ah, so. A general ed teacher. Cool. I always respected people who could do that.

I'm not great with kids.

( Well, it sounded like one of the rooms upstairs also had relatively good acoustics. Maybe that would work? )

They can be pretty difficult. ( Serah laughs as she speaks, remembering all the times she's had kids refusing to do their homework, or running off with things they'd pilfered from Maqui's workshop. )

[ For dance classes, upstairs might pose a danger. Even though the building seems sturdier than most, Rose isn't actually sure how much she trusts the floorboard to not give out after all the wear they've been through. ]

Yeah, they can. I mean, I like 'em enough but... Still. I wouldn't have the patience for it.
