one/ video/ count your blessings, not your flaws
( The video opens to half a second of Serah looking vaguely unsure about what she's doing before a smile crosses her face when her phone begins recording. )
Hi. ( Start with manners. It's only polite. ) I'm Serah. I'm one of the newer people here. And, well, back home I was a teacher. I know this place doesn't have a proper school or anything, but I wanted to help with that.
( Which is why she's stood in a building, one which has seen better days but is in one piece. )
I think, if we fix this place a little, we could use the rooms for hosting lessons.
( How can you say no to that optimistic little voice.
A breath before she speaks again- )
That's all I wanted to say. Thank you for listening.
( Serah Farron out. )

[ Rosie, there isn't even a music room designated yet. ]
video;
Sure. ( Though, come to think of it, Serah doesn't really know what room would be best for that. ) Maybe you could check out the rooms. You'd know better than me which one was good.

What did you teach?
[Video]
And, well, everything. Our school wasn't very big, you see. But I liked history the most.
video
[He's very excited! Learning! Please provide the teachings!]
video
Well, I don't know about that. There's lots of things I need to learn.
( Lots of things about Hadriel, about Pulse, about everything. )

I can't read!
[It's not a proud proclamation but he says it without shame. Being honest is important!]
I want to get better at letters and words!

I like the idea of a school. I'll help if I can.
Have you seen the list of people willing to teach?
video
...Yeah. Dr. Sweets gave me the idea. ( There's a soft shrug of her shoulders at that admission. It's a good idea to have somewhere people can use to hold classes. )
video
We could make out a schedule, so the people teaching can take classes too.
[She glances at the building in the video.]
Guess we should clean it up first. I can come over now to help.

Great.
( Hmm... )
Do you want to help clean this place?
( She's been dusting things down so far, but sweeping and window washing will probably have to happen, too. )

( Hm, that's a good question. )
I guess... a little bit of everything. Math, reading, writing. But I think you should ask the other people what they can teach, too.
( To that end, she even provides the list she saw Dr. Sweets write up. )
voice;
[She hasn't heard of half this stuff, but then again she doesn't really know anything about school either.]
Is that the kind of stuff schools usually teach?

( But, that said: ) This place, I want it to be somewhere anyone who wants to teach can use.
( So, there's all sorts of things people can still teach others. )

Sounds great. Let me know if you need someone to help fix it up.
video;
Great. There's a lot of clutter upstairs.
( Hey Noct you like doing house chores right, I mean, your place was always spotless... )

[Start out with manners. That's how polite people do things, isn't it.]
I've had more experience than I could have expected in 'fixing places up' over my time here. If you need another pair of hands, I'll be happy to assist.

( It's easy to keep your spirits up when people are being so helpful and nice about it all. )
Well, I could use some help cleaning. ( She pans the camera around to the rest of the room as she speaks. It's not exactly a derelict building by any means, but clearly in need of touch ups and dusting. )

you wanna wrap this up here and we can just focus on the guard thread?
video;
This place is bad enough without having to do homework as well.
video;
That's no way to think of school. ( Oh boy. Here we go. ) It might seem pointless, but everything you do is a type of thinking exercise.
( And that's the most important thing of all. Developing well rounded thoughts and becoming an adult who knows how to protect and think for themselves. )
