[ The video comes to life but there's no face on the other end, just a handwritten note along with a sloppy signature. Some may recognize the last name, others may not, but she honestly doesn't care. She has questions. She wants answers (despite the fact they likely don't have them all). And she desperately wants to find her friends.

The handwritten note is just precaution. She remembers the Null, even if her memory is fuzzy. Just as she doesn't sign it with her full name or tag it with her name. ]

Run down, please. We were underground and not cooking in the sun last I remember.

I could also use some help acquiring some sunscreen SPF... I don't know, whatever the fuck will keep me from turning into a tomato, and a pair of sunglasses.

Fear had to move the city a couple of times due to the Null attack. That's how we ended up on the surface.

Not sure if you'll be able to find any sunblock. Keep to layers instead. Don't expose skin to the sun and stick inside until the cooler hours. It won't be so bad then.

What's with the secrecy?

[Other people can give Sharon the handy rundown, or so Rey figures. She'd rather not talk about the transition from the cave to this place, anyway.]

And it's as Jo says, Fear moved the city to this strange place. The Null invaded us and we fought back ferociously, and we won. We had to, or there would have been live Null left over, to broadcast our new whereabouts to the Null bases out there in the Great Void.

I don't know anything about sunscreen, but I might be able to make you a pair of sunglasses.

You'd think the surface is the last place we'd want to be. Did he make a mistake? It wouldn't have been the first time.

It's a good thing I love layers but I think I'm going to be avoiding this duel sun bullshit as much as I can.

Precaution. I did just return from dismantling a part of a cult and they hold grudges for longer than most people live. And I can't tell them apart from your average Joe, save for the mumbling and occasional cloaks and bondage gear.

I was thinking about it but I'm not sure what kind of hat to go for. I'm not too keen on getting a scalp burn in conjunction with a sunburn.

[ It takes her about twenty minutes to make it to the clinic, the map she used to know so well jumbled with the various cities she's lived in. She enters without a knock and leans on the wall when she spots Kate. ]

I've got to say, I've always wanted to see what two suns would look like, but I am not a fan.

( How's the new location looking? It isn't all that far from the old clinic, situated near spire 4, but the neighbouring Guard HQ and the watchtowers may be more than a little unfamiliar. Her eyes widen a little on seeing Sharon again, but Kate has a pair of sunglasses in hand, hair a fetching shade of hasn't-been-dyed-in-several-months blonde, complete with dark roots. )

Wanted proper sunlight. Got it.

I don't blame you. I'm used to the heat but this is off the wall. At least water ain't so hard to find.

True, but watch something happen to suck up all our water in the next couple of weeks. I mean, they do need us to suffer a little.

You should always expect the unexpected from me. [ As if she knew she would return but she didn't. She didn't know anything and coming back was like someone tearing into her abdomen to reach her heart. But she knows what face to wear to hide any sense of pain. ]

( Well, that makes up for the funky electricity. At least they can have a sidewalk barbeque.

BUT besides the point. She remembers Sharon disappearing and momentarily returning, so she needs to know one thing: ) What's the last thing you remember happening here?

The water was already messed up for a while. People were actin' weird after drinkin' it. They already had us sufferin' for it.
