✘ Round 1 | [Text]
Greetings.
I am new to this city. I seek information on a number of things. I have been told that an individual that goes by the name of 'Arya' may be able to tell me more. But anyone else who is willing to part with information--on the city, on the supposed 'gods' that rule it, or any attempts to escape from it--well, it would be appreciated. If you require it, I will find some way to reciprocate, once I have gotten my bearings.
That is all. [He's tempted to ask about the presence of nonhumans in the city and how they are tolerated, but that strikes him as a bit too specific of a question. He's largely been in hiding since his arrival, both because his mission to earth mandated secrecy and because all previous attempts at contact had ended absolutely horribly for him. Glacius isn't feeling secure or trusting enough yet to give away what he really is, hence the text--it's hard to adjust his large fingers to the buttons and he rarely writes in common, but it doesn't give away his appearance or his voice. It's as impersonal as he can currently be. This will have to do for now.]

[text] /VIBRATES EXCITEDLY...
Moreover, this city seems to have fallen into a state of disrepair. Are any of the original inhabitants still alive to this day, or are the only beings that inhabit it now ones that have been pulled through this 'Door'? If the latter, do we have any idea of what happened to them, or where they went?
... I could go on, but I trust this is more than enough to assail you with initially. Thank you for your patience.
[text] YESSSSSSSS
Let's see if I can't answer at least a few of these. I've not been here too long myself.
I'm not sure how the city got here, but underground facilities are something I'm familiar with from back home. Maybe not an entire city, but a self-sustaining community. Some of them, anyway. Maybe the gods had a reason for putting all this down here, or maybe it's as much of an unknown as how we get home. You'd be better off asking them directly.
As for the original inhabitants, I haven't seen any. Don't know what happened to them. Pretty sure they're long gone and, judging by the furniture in the houses and how little the gods seem to understand the people that've been brought in, they weren't human.

[All this typing with only one hand that really works with a touch screen. At least he can't fault this stranger for being curious, but his replies are on the slow end.]
I'd also assume the previous inhabitants didn't just up and leave, not unless they left the same way we came in. The gods claim they have no control over who comes and who goes. If I had to place my bets, it'd be that the gods blew each other up, and everyone else along with them.
[Can you tell he's not very fond of the gods, Glacius? Because he's not very fond of the gods.]

The name's Nick Valentine, by the way.
